SKULLBIKERS Roaring Into The Twenties GLOG

Pulled another Monzano Giant Red Rocoto today. Just shy of 35g(had the scale out for the growdown pods).

I ate some of this Monzano Giant Red Rocoto and the taste was the same as the first one, a little sweetness, then somewhat green bell pepper flavor with Jalapeno heat. I am somewhat underwhelmed with these.

And 1 1/2 pounds of cut up Biker Billy Jalapeno flesh & brains!

Nice!

Btw made relish with a mix of your recipe and the one I linked and it was amazing!!

Heat wasnt at the level I wouldve liked but that was because I added some regular store bought chilis. Family and guests liked it
It is good to hear that the recipe worked out for you. As your plants put out more pods you will be able to make a larger batch. I used to try and make up enough by first frost to last me through the winter but now I believe I will have some pods coming year around. I just made a quart and a half of that using all Rocoto Montufars, it should be a good one.

Has that Sahara sandstorm reached you yet, eh.

Just watching the local weather as I eat my lunch. They are saying it’s at Puerto Rico now and will be over Florida by Wednesday and maybe last for at least a week.
I will probably be wheezing like an old man!      Wait........What......Hmmmmmmm

Reminds me to stay inside for most of the day!

Rained another 1 1/2 inches last night.

Might as well pick peppers this morning.

Top row: Monzano Giant Red Rocoto, Gelbe Riesen Giant Yellow Rocoto, Rocoto San Isidro
Second row: 2 pounds Rocoto Montufar, Pineapple Rocoto, Rocoto Equidorian Sweet

Maybe now I will go pick everything NOT Rocoto.

I saved seeds from Emerald Fire Jalapenos when I lived in Minnesota. They were a good flavored, fairly spicy, and standard looking good sized jalapenos. I planted those seeds after I moved to Florida(fall 2019). I grew those out and ended up with F1 pods like this.

I saved seeds from those and planted them last winter. I just recently harvested these F2 pods.

And now I have seeds to plant to see what F3 will bring.
