So I am buying a new truck...

Yeah, a work truck they can throw a new bed liner in and give it a polish, but could have been used to haul lumber or engines or whatever... a good inspection will tell.

I don't know shit either but just throwing a few cents out there lol...

IMO a work truck would have more mileage, and most likely four door.  This was probably some rich older person's truck that trades their truck in on a new one every two years.  It has the top package, and low mileage, that is my guess.

there is usually an inflection point with car depreciation. after a few years it starts slowing down. you ideally want to buy right at that inflection point.
the moment you pull off the lot, is the maximum rate of value loss ...

Either way you will love it, I am sure you will have it for awhile.  The only thing I would consider as a downside is the 2 door.  Your kids are young/small now but when they get older you may wish you had the bigger cab.    I only put about 8k a year on my truck and the heaviest thing I have transported is a yard of mulch, so do not let the low mileage be a deterrent either.

Just got a call.  I can't get either of them.  They won't finance me.  I have no credit since 2009 and apparently a serious nonpayment in 2003 on a lease car.  I don't remember anything about it, but they said I had a $1800 charge on a lease turn-in in 2003.  I did lease an Olds Alero from 2000-2003, and then bought a new Olds Alero in 2003.  I thought any charges ie over millage etc were rolled into the new one, but apparently it was not the case.  I guess I am going elsewhere, I have no choice, unless I pay the money to fix my Dodge and keep driving that.

Its mine!

Turns out the guy that owned it was a 65yr old lottery winner that bought multiple vehicles and drove them little, that is why only 19k miles in three years.  This thing is brand new!!!!!  I am lovin' it.

I want this one again-1952 Dodge,1/2 ton,Fluid Drive Tranny,Flathead 6 and 6 volt positive ground.
I was the 3rd owner back in 1975.
3 part back window, right and left hood,2 piece windshield.

Might have gotten it up to 65mph(downhill,with a good downhill grade or favorable wind).
45mph tops on my way back to the Canyon from Flagstaff(where I lived).

It actually came with a Plant manual for the guys that originally built them.

I put Engine mounts,a coil and a VW battery in it...
Ran great!
It sat in a barn for years,it was used to drive around on a strawberry farm-taking crates to the big truck.

Very low miles-wasn't even near having the speedometer/miles turned over.

If I remember right,it had less than 200,000 miles on it(more like 150).
oh ya,the emergency/Parking brake was history.

Green inside, blue outside. Not a speck of rust on it.It's whole life was in AZ.
Original everything, but it probably was originally green I think.
Insides back then matched the interior.

I loved that Truck!

I'm a Pick up lover, the older the better. LOL

Gotta be totally original though.

I saw 1 recently-beat to heck.
Guy sold it for $5000.
It was stock.
I got mine free.
