Nice pics - I've never heard of a Maya Red Hab before - I'll have to check that out.

I'll send you a couple pods when the big ones ripen if you like. I've created a couple of crosses with this plant and will probably just grow the hybrids next year.

Your peppers are looking really good. I am growing a bonda ma jacques too. How hot is it?

I haven't (yet) tasted a lot of very hot peppers fresh, it's something like an orange hab in heat so far, maybe a little weaker, but I've only had about 4 or so pods ripen... the bigger pods are still getting there. Definitely not as hot as my Orange-Yellow 7.

Pics from today.

Choco Bhuts and Carbon Bhuts, cut up and ready to be dried, I saved seed from one of the larger Bhuts which had an impressive 40 seeds:

I have two red Bhut Jolokia plants grown from CPI seed with very different results:

One is slower growing with fewer pods, but produces the common shape:

The other is a stronger plant and produces many regular and generally smooth pods:

Red 7 Pod, was supposed to be a yellow, but has been ripening red, has a very interesting tangy sweet flavor:

Another hybrid, Naga Morich x ? (C. frutescens), perhaps Nagasco:

The pods start off upright, but eventually drop down as they grow:
