I think that I will try this one tomorrow. When you first boil the strawberries, peppers, lemon juice and pectin do you add water? I have never made jam but I was confused on how those ingredients would boil with only a 1/4 cup of liquid.

Nope NO water. Crushing the strawberries prior to putting them in the pan creates a lot of juice. So your liquid comes from that. The more you crush the strawberries the more liquidy the jam will be. The less you crush them the chunkier it’ll be. Use a potato masher. Works perfect. Also after you add the sugar it creates even more. So use a big pan.
