Still waiting on the supers...but the rest are sprouted and under lights. This will be my first attempt at supers. Fingers crossed. I am so lost in the labels. Still having fun, but really need a break from everything for a bit. I will probably start next season in January...we'll see. Really done with this hundred thing for a while too...I need to take a month of leave and just sleep!
I hear ya Shane!
Maybe we'll start our grows about the same time for next season... I'm going up to New Brunswick, Canada with my wife to spend Christmas with my MIL. I can't start any plants until we get back from that. Good luck on that hundred mile run...

Hydrate and rest brother- don't over train, or you will bonk. Try adding a Kill Cliff to pre and post work out routines....I may be preaching to the choir here- but sometimes the choir gets tunnel vision with an objective looming near.R-E-S-T, don't skimp on it for training time-you can't rock-n-roll with half a mag;)!Now go take a nap!

I'll second Dave's advice. It seems counterintuitive to back off when you pushing towards a goal, but the body has to recharge at some point.

Just thought I'd pop in and thank you again for the care package you sent me. I powdered most of the Manzanos. Wish I could have smoked them first, but still a nice powder. Yesterday, I canned a batch of salsa with the last of this season's tomatoes, and I used a few of the Scotch Bonnets (I really love those!), some of the Bishop's Crowns (really tasty pepper) ,a Red Lantern Habanero, and the Aji Limons. I'm afraid the Yellow Bhuts molded on me before I could use them. Notice how I managed to not eat the supers, LOL! It wasn't intentional, but I do feel like a dodged a bullet anyway. The final product wasn't as hot as the other batch of salsa I made, which is probably a good thing since most of it gets shipped out to family for Christmas, and not all of them are heat lovers.

Today, I'm making a batch of chili for a potluck "chili cook-off" tomorrow, and am going to use up most of what's left from the care package.

Best wishes on your upcoming race. Not praying for you to win, or even finish really, but that the journey would be worthwhile.

Yeah...hard to do, but I manage to back off when I need to from running for the most part. Its sports that I can't lay off. In a flag football league and play tennis on a regular basis, and I think those cause much more damage than distance. I will go out for my first "test run" tomorrow, but the taper is on so I'll probably do about 10-12 instead of 24-30??? Next weekend will be a couple 5-8 mile runs then nothing the week prior. We'll see, my prep wasn't near as good this time.

My harvests are winding down, but I still have a ton of Bishop's Crowns I need to find a home for. Let me know if you want a few. Good luck in your chili cook off!

Loved your grow this year. Those bishops sure keep on growing don't they. Hope you kick that virus. Have a great sabbatical
Thanks Bodeen! I have had a ton of fun for sure. Really hope I can stay virus free next year, but we shall see???

Well my daughter is taking a photo class so I invested in a new DSLR today and snapped a couple with it. Still have a lot to learn about this fancy camera, but so far I like it!!!

Mucho Nacho...letting these redden up for some red Jalapeno powder.

Have a bunch more, if I am lucky enough for a bump I'll post some more.

Thanks for stopping by folks, I always appreciate the visits and comments. Be late night cruising your stuff tonight!

Shane- Nice pix bro!Geez , you had to go and post that ...man , I got a photo geek on board with me-his range of focus and color saturation are spooky. That wild brazil flower is awesome.

Bonnie thanks for the back up-we'll get him rested , or we'll nag him to sleep lol...

....and you have some suprise pics of Pia's favorite things- thoughful man you!

Really nice shots Shane just one word though, don't try running with it. I'd hate to see ya Crash and Burn with that thing around your neck. :)

Were you using an internal Macro setting or a Macro lens for those close ups?

Still going strong! Awesomeness.
Thanks Doc! I dunno about strong??? Still going for sure, some more than others.

I didn't run this weekend, so you two got your wish! I'm going to take short runs all week but nothing crazy. My daughter is in the photo class and is all geeked out about settings and such, but I just point, focus, shoot and hope for the best. Leaving surprise Pia pics in my posts is fun...if she'll ever stop by!?!?

Gotta love those DSLR's - they take amazing pictures! Nice shots! I especially like that Wild Brazil flower.
I dunno if I love the DSLR just yet...but the store sure did! WOW! The Wild Brazil pic was my favorite too. Should be able to get some really nice shots if I can get this round to ripen while still blooming!

Thanks RM! Luckily it came with a backpack camera bag...so if I decide to do some trekking with it I can. I was using internal Macro setting and manual focus. I am in the hunt for a true Macro lense, but they're pricey! Some I took in pure manual and adjusted the shutter speed myself but the Macro setting is easier. Its going to be fun learning to use this thing...but frustrating for sure!

Thanks for stopping by!

shane does sure know how to grow all year.... i can only imagine what it would look like if you were there at home to care for them 24/7.. keep up the grow and keep people warm....my coworkers will be ordering more powders from you again... will let you know.... nice photos btw.. im sure them critter pix will entertain pia for sure

74! That's about 64 miles longer than my longest runs and 62 miles more than what we had to ruck up for when I was on active duty. Good run man, now when do you report for SEAL training, you'll be running circles around them.
