food STEAK!!

We did london broil tonight, marinated in sake, Soy Vay hoisin garlic sauce, Thai red curry, lime juice, garlic, and congo trinidad powder. Simple, but delish.

See that one on the right? Yeah.... that's mine.... with a bit of JHP's jalapeno powder to make it right!

Ha! The middle one has better marbling and a more uniform shape for even cooking so you chose the wrong one.... that's MINE!

You picked the GIRL'S steak, THP.... And shut up. Yeah....lol

I reserved that one for my lady, you neanderthal....

Simple...... yeah.... sake Soy Vay Hablahblahcurrygarliclimecongo marinade is my definition of simple too!

Sounds good though!!!!!

Did great, but I could hardly tell it was there. Must have stuck to the grill, or I'm just getting numb....... I could taste the flavor of it on the cooked steak, just no zip. Note to self... dust heavier next time! The flavor really enhanced the salt and pepper... perfect meld, just coulda used more heat. My fault for not going heavier

That steak puts mine to shame. Looks great for sure.

I haven't cooked up a steak in long time! So I hadda do it. Poor quality New York Strip steak, CHECK.

Its over cooked a bit, but I did that intentionally. This cheapness meat ain't sushi grade

Ate it bare handed and ripped it apart like a savage. Not really though.

New York Strips are pretty good.... ya just gotta wave it over the flames a bit and it's done! lol

And I forgot to put chives on my tater! Doggone! I have a whole bed full of them outside!

HTH you should not badtalk that steak, it looks just fine. I prefer mine a little more rare, but that still looks juicy and mouthfistable. The potato looks great too.

Normally I do too, but there just ain't something right about eating a rare $8 pre-packaged New York Strip from the grocery store.

I need to find a place for some quality meat.

I'm so inconsistent though when cooking steak on a charcoal grill, I'm afraid I'll over cook the expensive stuff.

Nice looking sear, good cooking, but I agree on the meat quality the color almost looks like a pork chop.

Learn to do it by feel. The hand technique. If you grab the flesh between your thumb and first finger with them apart, that feels like rare. If you put the thumb against the first finger and feel the ball of your hand that is medium, If you make a fist and touch the ball of your hand that is well.

What the hail are you talking about? Whats with all the touchy feely fisty sheeit? I can tell how a steak is gettin' down brown just by looking at it.

Well that is because you are The TB and have thermomatic rays in your eyes that can measure the doneness just by glancing at it! I was just making a suggestion for us mere mortals.
