I often have that feeling as well, but then they suddenly "explode" and I can't keep up anymore :)
Yeah, like watching paint dry for the first few weeks

And then there were twelve. Seven went to trash.
I Will give some away to my friends later, when they can grow them without artificial lighting.

I know that those Milk cartons are a tad too tall compared to with, but hopefully that wont be a problem.

I now have :
3x mini chocolate bell
2x aji ahuachapan
2x aji fantasy
2x aji cristal
2x numex twilight

Those milk cartons should make great containers.
You will get a nice deep tap root and root mass.

Plants looking good and raring to go!

Yeah I checked that one earlier. For now I raised the light and put fan on.
Might dry air cause that more with annuums than baccatums?

To me it looks like root related transpiration issues.  I might actually expect this more with baccatum than annuums, though I think it's ultimately plant specific.  I typically deal with it by reducing light and keeping the plants warm and humid to encourage the roots to develop relative to the foliage.  I often put them on top of the light fixture for a bit where they're warmed from below, but where there's at most only indirect light.  I also try to be sure I have proper drainage and water carefully, to avoid conditions that might inhibit proper root development leading to or prolonging the condition.  When the the media is loose and moderately dry, the roots tend to "reach" for water at a greater depth.  I find this often goes away after transplanting up in pot size in my experience, however it possible to be exacerbated when potting up too, if the medium is collecting too much water beneath the root reach and might tend to compact.  That's my 2 cents, anyway.

By the way, I really like those containers for giving the plants plenty of root reach without taking up too much space.  Great idea.

Thanks Paul! I really dont like the progress this year, but thats what you get from trying new things
The upside is that you learn as much about
what not to do as what to do! I have my own
Rogue's Gallery of really stupid things I've done
Thankfully, most of them only once

That being said, your plants look great. I
don't see anything to complain about there.
New shoes and some lights will get them
growing fast! I suspect that, at first the smaller
pot plants will outgrow the larger ones since
the roots will fill the smaller pot first. In the
long run, I bet the extra size of the bigger
pot will result in a larger plant. How big are
the smaller pots? They look like 2-liter or so.

Will watch your test with interest...
