Sunday dinner

I love posting my food pics, makes me think more about what I'm doing and take more care. I don't like always posting in Drunken Chef. Im not always drunk!

So I'm starting a Flog. May not always be Sunday, but that's where we are today so without further ado...

Asian pork chops!

Brine - brown sugar, salt, ginger, black pepper and dried chultepenos.

All together and in the fridge.

Cold and windy in DC this weekend. Pork shoulder tomorrow, fat prime steak for Sunday. Just put overnight baked beans in the oven.

Hmmm...170 is too low to cook beans overnight. Ok. All day beans. Soon to be joined by braising pork.

Wish I had taken pics and posted last weekend. Hankered for Indian. Lamb vindaloo, different and better recipe than what I did in the throw down, Makani dal, curried cauliflower, basmati rice with mustard and cumin seed, cucumber raita.

Cooked from 10 until 7 on Saturday. Was sound asleep by 9. Dinner was great, but all I can show is the leftovers I'm eating this week.
