sun Sunday Morning Pepper Porn - 04-26-09

eXtreme
It is a dreary Sunday morning here...extremely overcast, 73 degrees out and about 85% humidity...wind out of the south at sustained 25 mph gusting to 40...what else to do but get in the greenhouse and take a couple of pics...

ranch Friday night where we played some music and drank a lot of beer/whiskey/vodka...pic of the gang....

the gig yesterday evening/night wore me out...can you see how tired I look in the pic?

in deep thought here...wondering what these plants are going to look like in July....all superhots, Naga Morich, Bhut Jolokia, Bih Jolokia and Dorset Naga...

Naga Jolokia - Kew West - 04-26-09

I got these "Naga Jolokia" seeds from the hot sauce shop in Key West last summer...the owner gave me a fresh ripe pod...I sent someone (maybe chriss) some of the fresh pod and some seeds...very extreme to say the least...

they are recovering from malnutrition quite nicely...a little shot of liquid karma does miracles...

notice a slightly different leaf shape from the Bhut/Bih/Dorset/Bhut

we will see what this Naga Jolokia turns out to be...

Man, those plants look great. I like the peepin' pepper man photo....lmao.

We are having Texas weather here in Philly today...93 degrees in April:shocked:!

Fantastic shots of the greenhouse and the naga AJ. 85% humidity? You ever have neck/truss rod problems from that?

Cheers, TB.

thanks guys...

Skealo...they were getting a drink when the pic was taken...

TB...no problem with neck or anything...of course then again, I own Martins... (dig at Taylors)...seriously, my axes stay humidified in the case...

2nd pick.... One of those peppers is thirsty.

It reminds me of my CAP 455 c. baccatum. It's a heavy drinker that needs it almost every day.

I'm very impressed with the size of your plants dude.

AJ,

Don't know if you are getting better, the GH makes the difference or both but I found this thread from last year when you posted pictures of your peppers (on 4-28). This year's crop look much taller and bushier!

Mike

AJ, I've always admired your plants man. Hopefully next year mine won't die off like they did. Someday my plants will be like that, some day.

Damn it. Some of these photo sites are blocked here at work so i always have to try to remember which threads had pictures i wanted to see when i got home.

Coming from AJ's camera and pepper farm i'm sure they're beautiful!

thanks again all...

Dang Mike...its hard to believe it was just a year ago when those pics were taken...as you can see, I am way behind the power curve when it comes to transplanting....I am just not in a hurry this year....
