food t0mato's trials

I don't need to walk down the street and have it feel like Taxi Driver. The city needs to ebb and flow. The past is the past. As long as it still has an identity and there are many great neighborhoods and hot spots like Harry and Ida's. The CitiBikes, they just started popping up all over. The mayor wanted them everywhere! They're even in these low traffic areas in my hood. Since you can take one and leave it at any docking station, I thought it might be good for me to go to Billyburg, get drunk, and leave it there, cab/train home. But I haven't used one yet. I like change. You can't be stuck in the past.

It's just the way it goes ...

Same shit here.

Oldsk00l Siesta 'Key Rat' life was riding around on bikes barefoot in The Village ...

Now the Village on Siesta is a tourist trap akin to Key West ...

There's no semblance of the old vibe remaining ...

Sucks.

Gee thanks now they're all in Portland.
Hell yeah!
I still can't find a damn nuts4nuts cart anywhere.
That's also why I like Staten Island more. They don't take no shit.
Those nut vendors are usually everywhere up by Rockerfeller center/Radio City Music hall area.

You like Staten Island? Have you done anything there?

Oh good!! I'll be in that area tomorrow.

We've grocery shopped, done laundry at a laundromat, hiked through high rock park, and visited the Staten Island 9-11memorial. I dig this place. It's still rough enough around the edges. A nice break from the Portland area.

Nice hanging out with the natives. I know where you are staying, but not intimately. I would have loved for you to experience a real Italian pork store around lunch time.

Times are-a-changin'.

Twisp is getting a new power pole. And at the crosswalk in front of Hank's, on each side of the street, there are flag holders with 8 red flags. So when you cross the street, you're supposed to grab one while crossing and put it in the holder on the other side. So you don't get run over in a 25 mph zone.

t0mat, aren't you guys hooking up? I don't mean like "Tinder" or "Grinder" hooking up, (not that there's anything wrong with that).

I mean, like, at least for a beer?

What about you THP, aren't you gonna take them out to Bieber Night at the Hard Rider Rocker Tavern?
