I had the day off work today and I got excited and actually moved Drum out of the shed and into the BBQ area so It's definately moving forward.....Soon it will be operational....:hell:

This is such great progress. You moved the drum.
 
Yep.....and when I get over this bloody flu I'll be getting the gear to bolt on to the drum for the vents and the grill plates....

Still have to get some good hard wood to give it a really good burn out as well....

I'm getting a mate of mine to make up a ash and brickette basket for me in the next week or so.
 
I think that's the way i'll go Nova....It's just getting the trailer and the car to tow it is the issue at the moment as the SS doesn't yet have a towbar...I will sort something out and let you know...
 
these things look amazing, where can i find a easy to read guid to bulding one? im thinking of building one for my grandpa.

All the info that you need is contained right here in this thread! The most important thing is to keep the first rack 24" from the top of the coal basket. Really have a look at all the pretty photos and you will glean all the info that you need;)

Failing that have a gawk at this.
