I have been watching this thread since the start, and i thought about time to post.
Although i am down south, this makes for a good read and gives me some amazing info for next season.

Sad to hear about your fried baby plants :(
What are you going to start this time round? Do you still have some more of the 'official' seeds? Could be interesting to see if you can catch up with the others.

The most important thing is, NEVER GIVE UP!! :lol:
 
I'm out at the coast, last time I left for a few days, 2 dried out. I potted up my 4 into 1 liter airpots, and had my neighbir check in on um... hope he doesn't get too liquored up and forgets...
 
couple pics update-
Mine are still infromt of the pellet stove, and from the picture, I can really see the dry cells. It's not so visible in the shadowed living room.

gitguymertin, thanks for posting up those dates. Dale, your seedlings are growing like champs. Here's where I'm at as of a couple of hours ago. Three of the four seedlings have shown their first set of true leaves. The Bhut Jolokia Indian Carbon behind ?1 and the trinidad scorpion behind ?4 are coming along nicely too. In another week or two, I'm going to start feeding them with some miracle grow tomato, at 2-3 week intervals.

I say at the end of the contest we try to figure out what pepper this is and whoever gets it right can also be considered a winner. If we do this, 1f1 isn't allowed to play. Sorry!!
 
I will post some pics as soon as I get a minute, had some friends over and am cleaning up.. however, when showing off the challenge plants, I saw a bunch of aphids. I guess the transferred over when I had them open. I have to find some stuff that wont kill the plant but will get the aphids. sigh..
 
I'm still in, just haven't got anything new to post. When I get my ISP-vTHP issue resolved I'll post something, but mine aren't growing at all! Haven't even got true leaves started-

Several may be out for the holiday so I would not worry until later in the week if no posts come. I have pics to post in a bit myself.

Im sure you will catch up SL, if I remember correctly you are not growing the official contest seeds which would explain the slow growth. These babies grow FAST!
