Hm. Is it pawing at the door, to be let in, or is it actually scratching it? If pawing, so sad, too bad - the cat likes you and you should just leave the door open a tad. If actual scratching, repellant and/or get a scratching post.

Aye! If I'm being suckered into something, I at least want to know what it is.

not all the time...the older I get, the more opinionated I get...

Also doubtful. But a pork shoulder will be marinated or rubbed and slow-cooked to perfection. Just haven't decided on the marinade/rub yet.

TPBM will recommend a marinade or rub to me.
 
no marinade...use a dry rub...much better IMO...
