I'm fixin to burn this stump outta the middle of my yard.

that's the ticket!  Light a plastic garbage can on fire, let it melt all over the stump, it'll smolder for 3-4 weeks...DONE!
 
It'll work best if done during the 3rd week of July or the 2nd week of August.......................all that extreme summer heat to keep everything cooking.
