The recipe I have calls for curly vermicelli in the stew, though I added leftover rice pilaf in this batch. I like eating it with a crusty bread and olive oil with herbs and garlic for dipping.

I'm a well known hater of soup in general around here.
 
But your ingredients list coupled with the texture seen in the pic....
 
There is no end to what atrocities I would commit with that bowl of goodness.
 
I'd shovel it into my pie hole with my right hand.
 
While doing other stuff with my left.
