I normally get/make a similar version of Tom Yum (Gai or Goong) with coconut cream added near the end of the cooking. I love Thai soups for the most part.
Most Thai places sell a side of rice or noodles for $1, I like to get the soup (Yum or Kha), add noodles, put in big bowl. A meal for 1/2 the price of a curry.
