The Trinidad Moruga Scorpion pepper

Ok, i'm Slade I have been looking to grow the hottest peppers i can ind and now the hottest pepper is "The Trinidad Moruga Scorpion pepper".

My question is where is the best place and cheapest to buy the seeds? I am also looking for hot Tepin,Jamaican Red Scotch Bonnet,Jamaican Yellow Scotch Bonnet,Purple Jalapeno Chili,Dorset Naga Pepper,Devil's Tongue Pepper,Caribbean Red Pepper,Big Sun Habanero,7 Pot Primo Pepper,Trinidad Scorpion Butch T.

Just my dos pesos.
For northern hemisphere seeds, June is a bit late for starting, as seeds you get will most likely be last years.
You could try seeds from Australia for a fresher batch, but most of the growing would have to be indoors, and it would probably throw your harvests out of whack.
Vendor vault and marketplace here are places I wished I had found prior to buying my stock as reviews of sellers and locations to buy are much better than the ones I found on my own.
As for the "Butch T" as hottest-------well, this season isn't done yet, and there are some seriously whacked chili heads around here-----I wouldn't be surprised if a new hottest arrives. :onfire:

Slade, Hey there!

Just as Gotrox said it's way late to be starting them that is unless you've got lights in which case anything goes. Congrats buddy... you're in the right forum! There are any number of folks within the establishment here that will gladly trade and send you any number of seeds if you do your part(SASE). The above is a very good answer in that you'll be getting last years seed stock but germination's will still occur and you'll be well on your way. I usually tend to germinate my seed stock indoors beginning in late January for the season ahead. That way come spring they're all set to go and are well rooted.

Welcome to the forum bud! Looking forward to seeing your progress!

I have a green house and plan on growing thru the winter, i live in growing zone 8 (Wilmington N.C.) right on the east coast so we don't get much of a winter here, our winters don't get below maybe 40 degrees.

Welcome from Jersey.. by way of Greensboro, NC where most of my maternal family is still located....I hope that you find your plants already budding up if you wish to plant this year. There are lots of places to get seeds so you can try in Jan/Feb to germinate for next year. I wish you well on your new grow

One online vendor that sells the Trinidad Scorpion Moruga is JungleRain. I recently purchased some seeds from them, and they're one of the recommended vendors on here.

As for growing in NC, a greenhouse is a must if you're going to start this late in the year. Make sure to keep it warm, since peppers, being a tropical species, don't like anything even remotely resembling cool. Either that, or wait until early spring next year to start. Been a while since I was in North Carolina (used to live in Greenville, go ECU!), but early spring would be a good time for NC if you want to forego the greenhouse.

Hey Slade,
We carry most of the Hot Pepper seeds that you mention and you can check out the positive reviews in the Vendor Vault.
Also, we just harvested 50,000 Moruga seeds with 100,000 more coming in later in the season.
One of my growers is a nursery right there in Wilmington, NC. And we're just down the coast here in Myrtle Beach.

150,000 seeds?!? Sell at 5 bucks for 10 and ul make..75grand on one species? O.O whaaaa? Thats crazy!

And slade the new ( fabled ) hot pepper is the HP22B B3 strain. He had it tested and it clocked in at 2.1mil schovilles or something. Im praying that seeds come out the next season.

Word on the street is seeds are gonna be available in September for the HP22B. I think someone mentioned it in the hot pepper talk forum.

For the record, it should really be called Trinidad scorpion Moruga blend(TSMB) since the original seed source asked for this name to be used
