Was recently in Scotland, have some Talisker 10. The older stuff was very expensive!

I've got the 10 and it's bloody nice stuff for sure......The 18yr old is heaps smoother but I still drink the 10 as a regular

Man that sucks, I just looked it up and they have a gift set with a 750ml bottle and two glasses for $43.99 here.

Now that sucks...:(

Just proves how bloody expensive it is to get anything here in OZ!!!!

I've been enjoying the homemade myself lately! I have corn liquor/bastard bourbon, and rum. Right now my whiskey tastes like Old Grandad and my goal is to have it taste like Wild Turkey. My Rum (suprisingly!!!) tastes like Appleton's, and my goal is to have it taste close to Pussers. I'll be making my own Scotch to try and make my own Ardbeg.

My still only holds 8 gallons, so I can only run ~6 gallons at a time so I get about 1 gallon of drinkable 75-50% abv product per run. I need a bigger and better still!!!!

oh i was drooling at a bottle of 15 year laphroig this arvo.

I didnt have $150 spare.

My bottle of Lagavulin is almost empty and will need replacing first :)

cheers

Hmmm. That's about what it costs up here on my island.

I want to buy a good sippin whiskey this afternoon for under $100. What are your hot tips? (i like peat)

Lagavulin 16yo.....

Should be about $99 at dan murphys.

i'm planning on drinking some of my rare and expensive stuff tonight seeing it's my bday!!! :D

Omg happy birthday Phillip!

Thanks for the tip, i will grab that straight after work ;) Which by the way is now! :woohoo:

Alright i goes to murphies and look for the lagavulin but it not on shelf so i buy Dewar's 18 year old. $135, this better be good sh!t. They did have more of the lagavulin on a pallet out the back but the boyz out there were too friggin lazy to un-pack it for me, bastards. :D

$135 for a bottle of booze i hope its goooood and you make it last! I have trouble bringing myself to buy a expensive single malt have had a few in my hands but always put them back for something cheaper.

Enjoy the birthday moyboy.

The Dewar's 18 year is a nice drop but for nose and taste you will struggle to beat the Lagavulin........bloody lazy buggers!!!!

Yeah it went down alright but i would have preferred the peatyness of the lagavulin. Oh well, theres always my birthday!
