I've got the same bullshit going on with my Photobucket account too, TGCM.

Here's a thread I started yesterday, loaded with pics.
http://thehotpepper.com/topic/64964-mikeusmc-2017-grow/

Everything was there last night, and gone this morning. Pics are still in my albums, but won't show up on forums. Got an email saying I went over the free storage limit, and now it looks like they won't allow any of my pics to be seen unless I pay for more storage. I even went back and deleted like 150 old pics, but I'm still over the limit, WTF?!

I understand that PB is a "free" hosting site, but WTF?! They couldn't just say, "You're over your limit; you can't post these pics"? Instead, they (pretty much) say "All your pics are being held hostage unless you pay for more storage."

The email said something about something happening on June 28, but that was 2 days ago (?)

Yes, I know I can go "Extreme," but I need a 3rd party hosting site for other forums. Plus, I'd have to pay for the Extreme Membership AND pay Photobucket (annually now) to release my old pics. Ugghhhh.....

Yeah man, such a PITA. It sucks, because all of my uploaded pics from the past couple of years are now broken. Did you happen to check what their yearly rate is? $399.99! Give me a break!

It would be great if they would at least reactivate the old pic links that have been posted.

I would much rather have used an extreme membership for pic posting, but last time I had it, I ran out of space fast, and my pics would always show up upside down or sideways. Photobucket always aligned my pics correctly, and I never ran out of space.

I'm sure there are ton of people on forums that are affected by this change in policy, so hopefully everyone gives photobucket their negative feedback.

(Sorry, didn't mean to derail your thread :) )

I misspoke before. I didn't get an email, I went to the website like they suggested. Looks like they changed their Terms of Service on June 28.

Basically, no more 3rd party hosting for free, so f**k you

Yeah, that $400 thing is ridiculous, but I think that's for "unlimited." The cheapest package I saw was still like $60/year

WTF. Suck a diccup til you hiccup, you bunch of pricks ( < Photobucket! NOT you guys  )

The deal Pookie running now includes unlimited pics. Doesn't help you on other sites, but great for here.
Yeah, It's a great deal. Pics taken vertically with my smartphone always showed up sideways, or upside down when I posted. Any of you guys that have an extreme membership experience that? I was using a Galaxy Note 4 at the time. I'm now using a Galaxy S7, soon to be a Galaxy S8+, once my job gives me the new phone.

Photobucket is parasitic, even more popups  now.
Yeah man, I've never been a fan of photobucket. I'm pretty sure most people use them for posting on forums. Especially since google photos and icloud can back up pictures automatically, and work seamlessly.
