chinense This is not a Habanero, is it?

I found this in a shop today:

I was a little confused, because the sign says "Habanero yellow" (and "caution very hot!" :D) but it does not look like Habanero to me. My first thought was Fatalii. But i never saw a real one, just pictures. So what do think this is? I'm thinking about buying some and test it.

I always thought fatalii were considered to be an elongated habanero. So perhaps that's why they are labelled that way. Pretty sure those are fatalii

Fatali, almost assuredly! Either that, or Yellow Bhut Jolokia. Post updates on the flavor once you try them, they look tasty and fiery!

bonda ma jacques...I think. Which is a yellow habanero.

There's also a vid of Neil taste testing one...

I don't think it's a Bonda Ma Jacques, stc. Notice the Bonda is more rounded near the stem, and a slightly more blunt tip. The ones in hornilla's picture are more crunched in on the stem end, also more concave on the body of the pepper, with more bumpy skin and a sharper point on the tip. I'm holding steady at Fatali/Yellow Bhut Jolokia.

bonda ma jacques, fatalii (leaning on this), datil, limon....

either ways, just buy em and sauce em

edit: saw the price, thats fatalii price, im sure.

Neon Yellow Hab?
The reason I was leaning Bonda on the original pepper is fatalii are typically a brighter yellow (but not all) and Bonda is a type of Hab and the warmer yellow fits them. These days there are so many strains and crosses its impossible to tell for sure.

I’m surprised that no one has mentioned the yellow devil's tongue I’m thinking that or Fatalii. Either way I’d be all over them, if they showed up in the market here.

ITS A ..... yellow chinense!... You cant know more than that.

Taste it (I'm sure they wont mind if you bite into 1 pepper :P). If its good, buy the store out. If its not, don't buy it.

Im with those that say what ever it is just buy and eat :) And Here they label any C. Chinense as a Hab. Which here is probably for the best since your average consumer has probably heard of a Hab but not most of the other C Chinense verieties. Side note.... I also think Fatalii

Thank you everyone. I'll definiy buy some.
Just some more information, because you also mentioned the colour: the picture was taken inside a supermarket, so i'm not sure, if the colour looks correct on the picture. And the fruits seemed not to be very fresh (but still ok). As you can see, the stems are already dry more or less.

edit: saw the price, thats fatalii price, im sure.

The price was same for red hab. It's the price for 1 kilogram. It's just an expensive supermarket.

Thanks again everyone. I'm gonna call them Devil's Bonda Ma Fatalii. ;)
