Tio = Aji Cereza?

Several years ago, I received from seeds from the member DudeThatsBad that he referred to as "Tio" since he harvested the seeds from a plant at his Uncle's home. I've been looking for the true identity of this variety and was told that it is most likely Aji Cereza (C. annuum). Does anyone else have some input on this that have grown "Tio" before?
 
from what i gather true tio is orange and is a larger bushier plant like wild Brazil and is very prolific

where as aji ceraza (aji cherry) is red and is a small top bunching plants that gets about about 10 to 12 inches tall and is not as prolific as aji ceraza

i was searching AJI CERAZA because i was thinking about growing it, i also have seen tio plant a few times and they appear to be totally different, there is a few good pics of TIO on THP from the fellow from Brazil that was offer seeds for it

SEMILLA DE the German site or CHILE DATA BASE (one or the other im not sure which) has a good pic of AJI CERAZA

my tio pods were black as hell until ready whem they turned orange/red. didnt had time to grow them enough befor the killer frost...

but they were so beautifull.... love those black pearl peppers! hope my seeds will get back this year!" i want at leats one of those in my garden!

small update 4/4 seeds of tio sprout this year (last year onbly got 2 seed out of 10 !!!)

anyway cant wait to grow them BIG !
 
I was looking around and found this old thread.  I grew some of DudeThtsBad's  "Tio" seeds last season.  I called them "Aji Cereza's as that is what I thought they were.  Here are some pics:

I don't know man. I'm still not convinced they are Aji Cereza. To me they had a very chiltepin-like taste and thought they could be a C. annuum var. glabriusculum. Just looking for more thoughts.
 
Whatever they are, I found them delicious, with decent but not deadly heat.  I'm excited that one of the "Tios" crossed with something in my garden last year, as one of the plants from my garden last season.  I can tell, because 2 of the plants from my saved 'Tio" seeds have chinense leaves.  I suspect it is a "Tio" x Bode Amarella, as the Bode was the only chinense that was in my garden last year.  The other stuff I grew were Aji Russian Yellows, (Probably just a fancy name for Lemon Drops), normal offspring from superchiles, and a hotter thicker superchile.  Take a look at one of the crosses:  I'm excited as it is my first cross.
 
 
Cool - Maybe I can send him some pods from the "Tio" crosses so we can find out what I have, although if the science is as simple as it appears to be, then this must be a "Tio" x Bode Amarella cross, as the Bode was the only c chinense in my garden last year, and this clearly has chinense leaves.
 
I may have stumbled onto a possible lead for what "Tio" could be but I need to do some more investigating. I need to look into Piquin bolita. The pod shape, orientation, flavor and heat all sound right. I'm still investigating the country of origin.
 
I just received seeds direct from Lima, Peru (as have a number of others). There are 2 different types labelled Aji Cerezo 1 and Aji Cerezo 2. How`s that for muddying the waters???
