smoking Today's Lunch!

Thanks TB. Shiner Bock is one of my favorite beers especially during colder weather. When its hot outside the darker beers arent as good IMO.

While I normally dont grill after dark I really need to make an exception because I have these chicken wings that need to be used. I'm using a honey bbq sauce with some "St Louis style Chicken Rub" and hopefully this will turn out good and not sticky. I really dont like sticky BBQed or grilled foods (just my personal preference is all).

In the mean time Nathaly is cooking up a little stir fry. Naturally I plan to put some hot pepper with mine. I havent had my hot pepper fix for the day.

I moved the grill under my porch light so I can see how its doing. Naturally I want chicken cooked thru but I do not want to cook it to death either like many around here do. Chicken jerky is not the goal here!

The wings turned out pretty good if I say so myself. Not too sticky, not too dry and full of flavor. Nathy's veggies are good as well especially after I add a whole cayenne pepper with a few slices of habanero. And yeah its pretty hot, just the way I like

GOD DAMN!!!!I have to give the award for the best grill pron (not necessarilly for the best set up or food, but for the most endearing and complete set of photos.)

Thanks for sharing! It reminds the rest of us how enjoyable it is to see seemingly insignificant photos of others enjoying peppers and food in general! I don't mean "insignificant" to apply to your photos, I just know that I do not post photos that I consider insignificant, although they may be enjoyable to others here.

You are a lucky guy Brian!

Thanks Cheezy! I live a relatively simple life out here in the boonies so even simple things like grilling are fairly important things in to me. I like to invite a few friends or family members over on Saturdays and grill some meat and watch a little College Football. I am always experimenting with different seasonings for the meat I cook and I am gaining a pretty good rep for grilling in these parts. I admit that I have alot of things I want to learn like slow coooking (the real BBQ way) and smoking meat.
Yeah my pics may seem insignigicant to some but thats ok coz some folks still appreciate us pee on back yard grillers (especially when its time to eat). Oh wait! I am NOT a backyard griller since I do all of mine in the front yard haha :D

More grilling porn!....

Today was chicken tenders with hickory smoke BBQ sause and some of my special seasonings

I started out the day mulching my strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, grapes and the fruit trees then cleared the garden and prepared it for next year. After all that work it was nices to fire up the ole grill. I prefer my ribeyes to be thicker than these but I already had them in the freezer.

Everything was very good! Saturday is my favorite meal of the week! Now to watch some college football!

You can get a really small grill that you sit on the porch or yard to grill. After finished (and its cooloed off) you just take it in the house. When I was single I used one almost exclusively since I was cooking for myself only.

I never did that when i lived up north. That's what the blackberry brandy was for....keeping me warm whilst at the grill. Just jeans and a flannel and a boatload of brandy

ya, cept im on 3rd floor apt, no balcony or anything.

I used to use the George Foreman Stand-up Grill when I lived on the third floor. Just make sure you have a good exhaust fan or do it near an open window. Worked great for me.

Wouldnt they let you grill in the yard? I know it would be a pain in the ass to have to carry everything 3 floors up and all but at least you could east some good meat

I live on the 'y' of a 5-way intersection...welcoem to hell. Seriosly, the building is a trangle. Lieterally. Thsi room, has 5 sides beacasuse its opn the 'tip' of the trriangle.

I can show ya google earth pix of ya dont belibe me.

Those are some good lookin' lunches Brian. Kudos on the pics. I'm always too excited to eat to remember to take pics! That's some fine self-restraint you've got going there.

Sorry about your Longhorns... they got boned and now I have to listen to the OU fight song every hour of every day for at least the next month.

LOL Well it just goes to show how the BCS is flawed however I will be rooting for OU when they face Florida afterall I would far rather see a Big 12 team win anyday. Despite being rivals we need to stick together in the end
