Trippaul Threat (PdN x BMJ) Community Grow

This is a dedicated grow log for Tristen's awesome cross, which I
have been growing out since 2014.  I'll start with a bit of history and
some photos documenting what's happened so far.

In January of 2014, Tristen (Trippa) sent me a little care package of seeds.
In the package were two generations of a cross he had made, which he just
called 'Mystery Cross, F1' and 'Mystery Cross, F2'.

Here's Trippa's Mystery Cross seedlings in February of 2014:

Both generations showing the purple foliage characteristic since the beginning.

Up close look at Trippa's Mystery Crosses, F1 and F2.  Both culled to a single
plant after the photo taken, so I only had one plant of each generation:

I brought all my peppers in to finish, sadly my PdN x BmJ plants have the aphids so bad I got no choice but to put them out. I will get a few really nice pods pulled, both White & Violet...

I wish I had been a bit more vigilant about the pesky bastiges before bringing them in, but I found that pyrethrins can cause pretty massive leaf drop, not to mention the stink of it....

I have seeds dried and ready to send out.
All dried in the pod at 95-105˚F.

F7W-1, violet isolated and non-iso
F7W-2,    "          "         "        "
F7W-3, violet, isolated only
F7W-4, yellow, isolated and non-iso
F7 Violet, isolated and non-iso
F7W Bhuter, isolated and non-iso
F5W, violet non-iso

Sorry, my plants did not produce any
white pods this season. Therefore,
I am looking to trade for some white
pod seeds!

I am happy to send whatever you would like,
be sure to let me know what you want, and
PM me your address.

Awesome, Scott. I have posted seed lists in
my profile and in all my grow logs. See if
there is something you like!

Do we still have people growing these in Europe?
If so, I am very interested in the Violet and/ or White varieties. Maybe Yellow ones too

I dont mind trading seeds to get them :)
There are several. You should be able to find them
by perusing a few pages of the grow log. There are
also some who are growing, but seldom post in here.

I would be happy to send you some of the violet
and yellow. No white pods from my grow this season.

Haven't had a problem sending to EU, yet.

My indoor plant main crop has ripened but, as with the earlier couple of pods, they are all ivory/yellow coloured, not white.  It's actually a better crop than I thought; all being well, I will pick them tomorrow.

That's great news, Mitzi! The ivory pods are beautiful in
their own right. I've accepted that the pure white strain
is rare from the results of my own grow. Perhaps some
other growers will have better luck getting a stable white
variety going.

Ohhhhh, make me jealous
    Those look great - nice and shiny.
Love the light purple shading on some of them

Awesome photos, Scott! I'll bet those are face-melters!

my intention was to make you proud.

that white stands out like crazy.

and of course save some seeds to send back you way in the hopes you would get the same color with your unique pepper whispering.

I am very happy on both counts, Scott!
I'll give it my best shot!

Thanks, my friend. With some white seed from the two Scotts, how can I go wrong?!

Mine look more white under artificial light.  I ate a tiny weeny little runt one.  Spent the next 10 mins crying and drooling uncontrollably.  Not a good look.  Thankfully I was home alone at the time so no one witnessed it.

Mine are sort of creamy / ivory coloured but they look more white in certain light.  I have isolated pods and can send you some seeds once they're dried out, if you want.  I'll try to post pics.

The only seeds I'm after are bubblegum (any colour) as I have tried and failed multiple times to grow them.  Otherwise I don't really want anything in return as I'm trying to reduce my grow next year.

Haha this made me laugh, Mitzi.

Been there, done that

I'm glad you were able to harvest some pods,
especially isolated ones. Good on ya!
