Trippaul Threat (PdN x BMJ) Community Grow

This is a dedicated grow log for Tristen's awesome cross, which I
have been growing out since 2014.  I'll start with a bit of history and
some photos documenting what's happened so far.

In January of 2014, Tristen (Trippa) sent me a little care package of seeds.
In the package were two generations of a cross he had made, which he just
called 'Mystery Cross, F1' and 'Mystery Cross, F2'.

Here's Trippa's Mystery Cross seedlings in February of 2014:

Both generations showing the purple foliage characteristic since the beginning.

Up close look at Trippa's Mystery Crosses, F1 and F2.  Both culled to a single
plant after the photo taken, so I only had one plant of each generation:

Heck, I didn't even know they could get that completely white.

I'd always been happy with splotchy white and purple.  :)
I am beginning to think it’s weather related.

The white pods above ripened in really hot weather.
The gnarly pods mostly come on in the hot weather
as well.

I have had lots of purple and violet pods in the past
several seasons.

Those white pods are great.
Yeah, those are the kind of pods I have been
trying to select for ever since the F3 generation!

Okay, the PaulG2020 and Trippaul Threat threads
have been separated. Now to try moving the scattered
TT posts back here to their home  :D It will be a slow
process, but we will get there eventually.

In the meantime, great result from the side-by-side
grow of Devv’s F8 and my F8 strains. Pods almost
identical. Both good producers and consistent white
pod results with a bit of help from sunny weather.

My own F8:

The other pods are from the TT v2 F2 planted in same container.

Almost all the Trippaul Threat v2 F2 have some ripe pods.
Very interesting results. Will post some pics after I can harvest
a handful of each.

In the meantime, my isolated F2 #3 red
pods turned out to be runts

Two seeds between two pods.
Somehow that strikes me as funny.

You may have noticed my page topper ducks are all
over the place. After the merge of my Trippaul Threat
and 2020 Grow Logs, it was a b***h trying to move all
the posts back to their right locations. I have finished
that task, but there are some posts still out of place.
Hoping this has  straightened out the Grow Logs a bit.

Please let me know if you find one of your posts is not
where you think it should be, and I'll try to get it moved
to the right spot.

Now to get back to posting news about the Trippaul
Threat cross!

Fun things happening with the v2 F2 grow.

Getting close to the end of the season. I think
we’ll have some more nice days, so there may
be more ripe Trippaul Threat pods to be had
following this nice batch from the F8 and the
v2 F2, picked on Thursday 10/8:

A nice pull from the Trippaul Threat ‘White Lightening’ Plants.
Still many more light yellow pods trying to reach ‘whitehood’:

Seems to be settling into a nice phenotype.

Now for the fun news.

The five Trippaul Threat v2 F2 plants have shown
their true colors. Coming from F1 seeds, there was
bound to be some variation, but after what started
out to be mostly yelllow pods, the five plants have
all gone their own way.

Here are mature pods from the #1 plant:

These are more of a real peach color than
the photo shows. The pic is a bit dark.

Calling this one ‘Trippaul Threat Peach’.
Note the caramel shading.
