so, let me read into this.... as the heat rises, the pork butt fat melts, it drips down onto the already smoking turkey, giving the turkey that basted smoked bacon flavour.

Hubby's doing the turkey this year, and at the moment, its still under the running cold water to defrost. Actually it's been defrosting all day, so he should be good to go for whatever he has planned for tomorrow.

OK at 10AM I'm pretty pleased how things are going, with checking the wood and and adding every 2-3 hour the water/dripping pan only cooked off twice.

The final product, no plate pictures needless to say I shoulda bought a bigger bird....
