TV

Ok, I know that this is the Music and Movies area, buuuuuuuuuuuut I couldnt find a TV thread. And, I couldnt have that! So, what is everyone watching?

I go back and forth. I am totally addicted to cooking shows, so they probably top my list. I love Top Chef for the experience. When I watch it, I am happy that I am watching a show about accomplished chefs cooking food that inspires me. I still follow chefs like Marcel, Spike, Antonia, Angelo, and a ton others. I think that this is the ONLY cooking competition on TV that actually showcases chefs that deserve the title. I think that next would be The Next Iron Chef. Again, the contestants can back it up. It isnt a bunch of amateurs trying to pretend like they know how to dice an onion. This new season is the "Super Chef" season. A bunch of Food Network personalities are on it, as well as some other well-known chefs. I appreciate the experience. I feel bad to admit this, but I still watch the next food network star, and Master Chef. Both of these shows are a joke. Amateurs trying to grasp at some chance of a payday. If you win from chicken fried chicken, you are a joke, not a Master Chef. (Sorry if I offend). Hells Kitchen is WAYYYYYY worse. I have never seen so backwoods, on the block, joke of a chef, contestants in my life. Well, enough with the cooking....

After Cooking shows, I think that I compare everything to 24. After that, Sons of Anarchy definitely fills the bill. Also, Tommy Gavin is a God, and Rescue Me makes me feel happy inside. I am also addicted Dexter, Heroes, Bones, CSI, Law and Order, and sitcoms like Big Bang Theory and stuff like Tosh.O, and South Park.

Lastly, I must admit that I am addicted to competition reality tv. AI, XFACTOR, SYTYCD, and a ton others keep my weeknight nights busy. Thank you people who cant really make it in the industry. You provide me with hours of "fun"! Keep it up!

So, I have gone on enough, let me here what you are into.

I don't get much TV time in a day at least not to the very end.

I do love science "big bang theory" ECT.

My currently ongoing series are:

Dexter
Breaking Bad
Walking Dead
Mad Men

I enjoy lots of stuff but these are mandatory. I'm sure I'm missing some stuff. Dig Daily Show, Colbert, South Park, Tosh.0 too. So many good things on if you know where to look.

My all time faves no longer in production:

Six Feet Under
Deadwood
Rome

Cool thread!

i dont watch much tv for the most part it sucks and rots my brain

+1 ajijoe. I gave up on TV a handful of years ago. The thing died, and I never replaced it. I can get what I need off the internet. But yeah, when I'm traveling I sometimes turn on the TV in the hotel room, and then I usually watch cooking shows, or turn it off.

Cool thread!

I finished Season 3 of Dexter about 10 months ago. I watched the first 2 seasons on Netflix streaming, but they cut off after that. I usually catch up on all the stuff I missed in my down time overseas. We have a massive shared drive with about 2 TB of movies, music, and TV. I kind of pick a show and watch all the seasons and episodes over a few weeks of off time. Watched all 7 seasons of Entourage in about 3 weeks. Caught the last season when I got home.

I really want to watch Breaking Bad AND the Walking Dead. I may load up my iPad or computer with them before my next deployment so I can watch them on the half week trek over.

Also, a lot of people are getting rid of their cable service and using Netflix/hulu/etc. I tried to just live off it, but there still isnt enough of the new stuff to warrant that for me. I know people who dont watch much TV that love not paying the bill, but I am impatient. lol.

YES!!! New Girl! Freaking Hilarious! Raising Hope, tho, I don't know what I would do w.out a DVR. I have to pause it to finish laughing, then rewind, laugh. etc....

I also forgot a new fave, American Horror Story. If you haven't seen it I would suggest waiting for video, You have to see it from beginning to end.

Yea, my sister told me it was pretty ridiculous. The wife DOESN'T do horror, so that is a deployment watch. Also, I am embarrassed to have forgotten the best book to tv show, and in the running for best ever, GAME OF THRONES! Stupid amazing. Every time you think you got it, you dont. That dude gets his head chopped off....The best part is it wont get spoiled for me because I wont be reading a 100 page book, let alone 1000 pages.
