While there are some remaining branches and alot of flowers/pods
I know it can grow back but timewise in season dunno how fast it can... now my rant..
this is really starting to piss me off!!!!!!
this f*@king weather all year is total f*@king b*llsh*t!!
either a ton of rain or high winds or both or sunny 1 day windy next followed by bad storms. The really thing that pisses me off
is it had to happen to the fatalli or s.bonnet and not the more
common types I can buy at local stores sorry bout the cursing
but man I cant take no more

That sucks and your language is excused!

I'd recommend some sticks and strings! Any plant I grow is secured more or less this way and not a single branch has broken off yet. It's a little effort, but well worthwhile and it helps supporting the branches when they carry a lot of pods!

Thanks Chiliac
funny thing is I had sticks, string and nylon supporting it
thats why its so damn frustrating :(
oh forgot to mention we got more storms/wind rolling in right now arghhhhhhhhhhhh

Hey they'll be fine in the end though, they are still healthy plants despite the set back. We've had wind, rain, and thunderstorms the past few days in England and I lost chillis off a few outside plants. It's a bummer but they'll bounce back.

Thanks RB thing i am worried about is the time only have til mid Oct to get it back to what it was before it starts to get cold. Next year I am thinking about growing carrots and potato's both are underground lol

I had to bring myscorpion on my deck so when it rains I can move it under my enterence we have had so much rain...This year I think has just beena challenging year for gardeners with hot peppers..I wonder POTAWIE how is your garden pulling off with all our rain?

Unless you've dumped them, you can plant the broken off branches as you would use cuttings and may end up having more pods than you would have with one plant! :)

I dumped em i dont have anything for cutting or anymore room
so I picked all the pods all immature threw em in the dehydrator tossed the branches. the plant still has pods/flowers (a decent amount) so I will go with that.

I'm sure you'll get something good from them though. In England this is meant to be our summer and I've had the lights on since 3pm with a ton of rain, in October I'll be putting the heating on even in the SE of England (Kent, one of the warmest places in the UK) as I hate the slightest bit of cold weather. Please give us an update and don't give up.

Update.storm passed had hail sideways rain wind and
one of the tops on my Naga plant got lopped off (not bad)
my jalapeno was lying almost on its side(it was staked)
but is now upright so they all made it through it(at least thats
all I could find now.I still should get a good amount of fatalli fruits from that plant so its not all bad just all this stuff keeps coming at me  at this point i am almost saying to myself "screw the plants I got a PUPPY"
opps just checked radar that was just round 1 of storms arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh lol
also kind of hard to stay mad when you have this looking
at you

Believe it or not that may the severe thunderstorm that just rolled by my house. I actually brought my plants INSIDE for a short while. Just a heads up.;):)

Edit. If I would have read down a little further I would have found out you got hit..lol!

Hey HPFF,

Sorry about the weather problems you're experiencing. Growing up as a farmer, I'm a little inured to the weather. One year, I lost almost an acre of tobacco due to rains way up river. That was three grand that was going to help me pay for college.

When it's a hobby or pastime, it hurts. When you're growing for a living, it's a killer.

Mike

I can imagine how bad that must have hurt.As bad as it has been for me,alot of farmers around this area have been hit too, plus the economy here in michigan is terrible so they are really gettin hurt. I've heard this has been a really bad year for
farmers around here.

looked at tomorowsforecast thunder storms all day..Well we had 1 day this week with no rain....I feelfor yaman my garden this year has gone to sh*t with not much of a harvest expected...the wierd thing is my some of my super hotties have tonnes of greenpods on them and look healthy as where everything else look sad

Maybe you need to wire everything together with a bunch of bamboo stakes in there to keep all your junk together. You have the worst luck with that.

Yeah, but that experience has made it much easier to accept a plant dying now! Dead plants go into the compost bin, dirt and plant alike.

It'll be good food for next year's crop.

Mike

At this point I feel like throwing all the plants into a compost heap.:lol:They funny thing is with my s.bonnet getting snapped
back in July I then took all the steps to prevent them and it still happens:lol:maybe I need to do what Mill said bamboo and wires:)
