Garlic Steak Extravagansa...

I was going for something simple yet scrumptious and after finishing the meal, it is my opinion that I accomplished my goal. I am sure that I won't win a crown with this one, but I sure did eat a meal fit for a King.

Roasted Garlic Steak with Roasted Garlic Pasta Pesto with vegetable medley.
HERE IT IS....

Looks good. Where's the pesto you mention?

The pesto is tossed in with the pasta and vegetables. It's an old family recipe, Olive oil, garlic, sweet basil, parsley and Parmesan cheese. It was heavenly.

Thanks guys...

The pesto is the chunks of greenish stuff that can be seen on the veggies. I chopped the herbs extra fine to get more of the flavor throughout the dish.

Looks tasty. Is that a shell steak? (NY Strip)

Bloody hell these entries are looking devine!!!!!

I think I might have steak tomorrow night, It Vindaloo for me tonight!!

Great job guys and gals. I know where my vote's going!!

That's my favorite cut for your basic steak nothing fancy. It has tons of flavor. In NY we call it shell steak. Everywhere else they call it NY Strip  go figure.

In Texas we call it "childs portion".

Nah, you cut 'em thick, 2" high. They're from the short loin so they are tender and have tons of flavor. PF knows the deal.

Wow, the steaks on here all look friggen fantastic! Way outta my league that's for sure!!

There really are some super fantastic and creative cooks on this forum. I always concidered myself to be way ahead of the curve....cullinarily speaking that is. It sure is nice to be challenged to improve....and this one taught me some really valuable lessons.

The really good news is that I have been given the honor of serving my entry dish at the Redskins Super Bowl victory party....

paulky that sounds like a victory speech....you aint won yet!
:)

Pf, you say you aren't going to win, but to me your steak is cooked the perfectest so far, including my own!
