Google came up with this-
 
Yep I'm pretty illiterate in all the instruments of the world.  I've heard of hurdy gurdys, but thought they were a calliope type instrument. 
 
There's some talk about it being a Welsh folk song, but I ain't got enough google bucks to get that kinda info.
 
Anyway, I just thought it was pretty cool to see and learn about a hurdy gurdy.
