fertilizer what kind of fertilizer?

nova, My naga was dropping all its flowers, I presumed I was giving too much fert during the flowering stage(just yates tomato feed) so stopped applying.... sort of shyed away from fertilizing.
has it solved ure flower drop? do u stop using this mix once u get flowers or do u keep using up till the point of picking pods?
i'm keen to give ure mix a try

Hey mate, as soon as i started applying this concoction my flowers stopped dropping to the point that now my plant that HAD five nice pods on it has now got around 200! This is a pic of around 1/10th of the plant.

Wow... Those are some Glorious Peppers and worth a second look...

I have heard great things about the FoxFarm Nutes and Soilless Mixtures...

Thanks for sharing the Nova Super Brew, will try it this season...

I use PureBlend Pro Grow/Bloom and have had Great Results...

Pretty basic question here: When should one start applying fertilizer? While still seeds? Once they start sprouting? When they grow their first true leaves?

I use ProGrow and Liquid Karma and any water the plants get has a mixture of fertilize in it plus a couple of drops of superthrive for the first month...then I drop the superthrive and continue the ProGrow and Liquid Karma routine until I plant in 5 gallon containers...

I'm gonna use bloom booster on some of my container plants this year once we get some overnight temps closer to 60. I want to see if I can get a really good fruit set with it compared to the tomato fert. The young ones still get tomato though.

Miracle grow or GH bloom booster?

The GH is mostly phosphoric acid(pH down) so really watch your pH(and also watch your $$ fly away)
The miracle grow bloom booster 15-30-15 was actually a regular miracle grow around here before they changed it to 24-8-16, and the 10-52-10 was always the ultra bloom and maybe still is

Haven't seen the ultra bloom on the shelf. Would that be a nice change up from the 18-18-21 tomato? Or is -52- going overboard and cause me problems?

I personally don't go overboard on the bloom fertilizers(P) since peppers will continue to grow, flower, and produce pods all at the same time.

Just did a price search on the Fox Farm Grow Big. The best price I am seeing is on Amazon.com at 9.98 for a quart. What prices is everyone else finding?

That is a great price...I paid like $14 for a quart at the hydro store. Just make sure that the Grow Big is for plants growing in soil as there is a Grow Big specifically for hydro as well.

Thanks for the heads up. I did not see anything about hydro on the description but I will look again to be sure. Most of the places I saw prices on where 15 and up.
