What's up with the weather?

To be honest, I still prefer -15 to any wind whatsoever.

I HATE, LOATHE and DESPISE the wind!!!!

Being from Wyoming will do that for you....

Hell, having spent any time at all in Wyoming will do that to you.

Ever have your hair hurt? Yeah I said HAIR!!!
Yes, after I had to shovel the driveway during one of those polar vortexes.  I had icicles forming on my beard by the time I was done, and steam was even billowing off of me after I delayered in the garage.  It was so cold it felt like my hair follicles had a brain freeze.

In Wyoming, where the wind blows, (lol) if you're out in the wind all day, eventually your scalp actually hurts from the wind blowing your hair. It's the weirdest thing but true.

Have I mentioned how much I HATE the wind?

Well in case I haven't, I HATE THE WIND!

My aunt posted this on FB a few days ago. She lives in Rock Springs.

It doesn't say if that's with wind chill or not but, does it really matter?

So we in Frostbite Falls are getting a short break from the subsub zeroes, looking at almost 40 degrees by Thursday. And I'm not leaping for joy?

Nope. I have a 3 foot deep solid car-packed down berm in the middle of the driveway. At 35-40 degrees it's no longer a berm. It's what we here call a Hell of a Mess.

I feel for ya'll up there, I've had 3 nights with temps below freezing and the temps are nice for Winter. 60's & 70's for the next 10 days, A/C running daily and the tomatoes are loving this weather.

This has been a pretty mild winter here in southeast missouri we been getting a lot of rain like in spring & I've notice the geese haven't left like they normally do.
It only been normal winter temps for this time of year off an on.

We got out of the obligatory annual arctic blast and it's become tropical--for January. 38 yesterday, fog and 38 today, 38 through the weekend. Kinda novel, actually. The slush is a bitch.

12 fresh inches of snow, which makes our grand total of probably 30". Up until yesterday, we had 10 hours of above freezing temps since December 5th. We hit 41° !!!! Good thing tho, our roof finally slid. No more icicles and our roof damm is gone. :woohoo:

Roof dams suck.  I'm glad they slid off before they had the chance to seriously damage your roof/gutters.
