What's up with the weather?

Rajun Gardener said:
It's cold and wet out there this morning, too cold for me. It's 39° and we're supposed to drop to 25° tonight and 26° tomorrow night then start climbing back up to the 70's by Tuesday.

Hydrid, if you want to try some Cajun recipes I have a link for you. It's the local electric company that
puts out a small magazine every few months with real Cajun recipes. It has a few gumbo recipes in the Nov/Dec issue.
It's not exactly like I would cook it but close enough. Maybe Phil has a recipe written down he can give when he sees this.

Thanks! I'll take a look at those later. My kitchen will be smelling good tomorrow, I gaurantee!

I don't EVER worry about snow on my roof. After a good snow around here the wind blows. Only NoDaks and those who've survived a winter in Wyoming know what I mean when I say the wind blows. Snow cannot hope to persevere on my roof.

I so want Cajun tater recipes, soups, gumbos, I don't care, love it all. My 16 year old daughter loves the Cajun stuff maybe even more than me...

She and the mudbugs are one, baby!!

It was -20 at bedtime last night, woke up to -9. I am optimistic....

"Armed with a highball (usually bourbon
and water), she planted her feet in front of her six-burner stove and
slowly stirred the roux until it was just the right color."

^Taken from the gumbo writeup in RG's link. That's my kind of cookbook!

I was born in Wyoming (please don't hold that against me) but I've alwas said, Wyoming gets 10 feet of snow, it just lands in Utah.

Rollercoaster ride here again in se pa.

5" snow yesterday

Gotta restock Aspercream w/ Lidocaine

You suth'nas thinking this cold snap is momentary may do well to look at the calender.

We in the far northern end of Texas are used to 32 below this time of year, but it doesn't make it any more enjoyable.

I heard that Atlanta may or may not shut down because of cold weather. A part of me wants to blow my bloody mary breakfast through my nose, but I do know the helplessness you in the tropics must be feeling.

I believe the dot coms have wool socks for sale.

Woke up to 8° this morning. We might see low 20's today and when the Pineapple express lands, probably some snow!

We'll see....

The Great Nuisance Winter of '17 continues,

I drove through the Twilight Zone yesterday, snow so microscopic you didn't know it was happening except for the buildup on the windshield. Neither defrost or wipers could keep up with it.

And deer all over the roadway.
