God wants us to make best use of each day he gives us, we must not waist it with petty squabbling and bitterness, but do our best so that others may more easily do the same

your friend Joe

"Be reasonable, do it my way" growing up when visiting my grandparents this was on a little sign hanging in their kitchen .... funny as they both always thought they were right ... not philosophical but brilliant

ITS YOUR CHOICE,THE COURAGE OF TRUTH OR THE COWARDICE OF COMPROMISE

THE TRUTH IS INCONTROVERTIBLE,IGNORANCE MAY DERIDE IT,BUT IN THE END THERE IT IS.
Winston Churchill

there is more hope for fools than for people who think they are wise
prov 26 verse 12

once i was young and now i am old and i have never seen the Godly forsaken nor seen his children begging for bread
KING DAVID Psalm 37 verse 25

Man come up to get a job. He said OK “Sign your name here.” He took his pencil, to sign. The man with the job, said where’s your eraser at? He said I don’t need one, I don’t make mistakes. He said I can’t use you: you aren’t going to do nothing.
If you don’t make mistakes your not doing nothing..

those who say there are no absolutes lie only to themselves,because that very statement that there are no absolute is an absolute, and if you ask them are they sure they reply absolutly.

Saw this one on a bumper sticker the other day;
"I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. They are so unlike your Christ."
Gandhi

Now something a little more my style;
“Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.”
Benjamin Franklin.

Favorite serious quote that's on my kitchen wall actually......

Life is not measured by how many breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away.

Also

Appreciate and remember the little things in life one day you'll realize they were the big things.

The Wolf You Feed

An elder Native American was teaching his grandchildren about life. He said to them, "A fight is going on inside me.. it is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other stands for joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith."

"This same fight is going on inside you, and inside every other person, too", he added.

The Grandchildren thought about it for a minute and then one child asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"

The old Cherokee simply replied... "The one you feed."
