Waiting patiently for your bhutlah black X to ripen...really hoping it has that lime taste you were describing. It is a massive pod!

Hey, keep me updated on this one, the shape is similar and the unripe color is similar so its a positive start. My plant is in a bad zone in the garden to its very small. Last year it was 6feet+ this year it won't see 2 feet, but does have a little handful of pods and a few starting to ripen and they are looking about the same. Its not my favorite pepper, but I hope others will get to try it like I did as I think that it could find a could following as I am sure many will really like it.

Will do! I have 20 or so pods on it at the moment. Definitely going to overwinter it and start more next year from my remaining seeds.

Hey, thanks. I need to catch up with yours also. I am just lacking so much time this year, I don't get to look around much. My pods are way off this year overall compared to previous years. Its been much hotter here and very little rain. Have had less than 2 inches all summer. Last few summers has been 20 inches+. I am watering a bit but sometimes I worry if that won't hurt also as my city water is horrible 9+ PH.

I need to get in touch with you, if I ever get around to it. I have a friend in Canada looking to become the Canadian version of you. He is thinking of doing an entirely scotch bonnet grow next year. I told him that he needs to get in touch with the king of bonnets so might have him get on THP sometime and ping you. He's pretty focused on MOAs this year as he has a big bag of see from CARDI and trying to get that perfect shape more often.

I just picked a few of the black bhutlah x tonight. THey look the same as last year, will have to give them a try to see if that overpowering lime taste is still there.

This has been my menace this year. These things are just cutting the roots of about 3 or 4 rows of my plants. Seeing some of them hurt pretty bad, none are getting killed but pretty stunted and not much for pods. Doesn't help that they are already in the poorest location in my garden. But spent over an hour today flushing this guy out. This is the 3rd one in a month. The first one eluded me for 10+ months then I got him. I had 2 weeks of peace and then another moved in. I got him in about 3 days with a trap. Then this guy, maybe he moved in with the other because after trapping the 2nd one the damage didn't stop. Took me about 10 days to get this one, he wasn't coming out into the runs where the traps are.

I feel the paint on your rodent problem!!! I had to kill one as well this year! Pods are looking good!

Here is mine ripe. This year I think the lime is still there not quite like what I remember. My taste buts were a little off by the time I got to this batch of salsa so not sure, but will see what the guys at work think, they seem to have better taste buds than I do for the subtle tastes these things have sometimes.

Thanks, yeah, I just spent all weekend crawing around trimming low branches and leaves and sweeping up the mess, I hope no more moles move in anytime soon, I am sick of them, been fighting them for a year now.

Have you tried making a mesh box underneath your garden say, two feet deep then up the sides then out of the ground a bit.. then they couldn't dig their way in. People do this in Oz to keep snakes away from chooks..

I will probably be in trouble for saying this and get hate mail from mole lovers but a mole is a haemophiliac .. I am old enough to remember gamekeeper's placing broken glass/bottle in their burrow holes however Jase4224 method is more mole friendly

I love the look of the Choco Ghost Jami! Exactly as I was hoping. Have you gotten any color on your BBM x Madballz? I have 2 Chocolates and a Caramel so far. Waiting on one plant. But so glad I got a Caramel! I can't wait to see more from your garden!

These are an unknown. The only thing I know is they are something I have been trying to find for years. A pure orange bhut or bhut like pepper. These came up in my garden as a volunteer 2 years ago. Last years plant died young, this years has given me pods just about like the volunteer. I have tried to grow orange bhuts from several sources the last few years and they always ended up yellow or smooth like they were a bhut x habanero cross or something. These are great, perfect color, nice shapes and taste great.

Its really good. Much hotter than I was expecting. I have had some other crosses with Ajis that had hardly no heat, not this one, its heat is up there, at least habanero, definitly closer to BOC heat than aji pineapple heat. I was very happy with that. I had a friends Bhut x Lemon Drop few years back, pods were incredible but they had less heat than a lemon drop. Not sure how that is possible but they were nearly heatless.
