Who can grow the biggest or best Peter pepper

Well, why not start a thread.
Who's growing them, and who'll have the biggest or coolest looking Peter pepper?

I started a few seeds a week or two ago but only a small bulge so far.

I got a few started

Last year I had got 10 seeds from Pepper Joes late in June.
I planted 2 seeds, both came up. Transplanted both to the garden.
The squirells dug up one and it died. The other continued to grow but with fall and frost approaching had no time to make blooms even. I dug the plant up and brought it in. Early January
I was seeing new growth but by feburary the leaves started falling off. :(
Currently it's in a friends greenhouse where it will hopefully revive. I gave my friend the other 8 peter pepper seeds for her to start in the greenhouse.
After they get going I'll take 2 or 3 and leave her with the rest. Then transplant them into the garden and see what pops up.:onfire:

I've Got Three in 6" pots.

I just transplanted my three plants into 6" pots. Wanted to give them as much space as possible. I hope they need it.

I got some growing but I don't know how pure they are. But time will tell. Last year they grew but when they first started they looked like peter pepper and then they just grew out with out the looks of the peter pepper. So I trying them again this year but just calling them uncircumsized peter pepper.

I've heard the trick to making them look like their namesake is to cut back on the watering once the peppers start to form.
Makes sense to me, you all know what's it like after you get out of the pool.

i can see the direction this thread is going...
i'm planning on growing them but i haven't started any yet, i'm thinking of starting them a little later like when i start my eggplant which is mid march.
i can see 'biggest' being the easiest category to judge but 'best' is going to spark a lot of debate i think... a lot of really funny debate...

I am already thinking about buying some of those male enhancement drugs and give my plants a shot every day....

My plants just germinated ,they are getting first set of leaves
I'm in but I think I'm a little to late,Well can't rush ,Michigan is in the middle of the winter

Which is why I volunteer to be a judge.

I mean, are there any guys here who are going to admit to having the experience to judge the best?

Not too late, there has been no date set on when the judging will occur....besides RB is going to grow them and has not received her seeds yet.

No comment on your qualifications to be judge. I definitely am NOT qualified to be the judge...heck just this morning I went to pee, pulled out a hair and went all over myself...

I got this idea about exercise....will tie a string with a little rock on it to the end of the young peppers and let gravity do its work.
