Happy New Year, 2021!

Always good to see how those Tepins are doing under your watch CD! The overwintered one looks like an awesome bonchi. I'm sure it will fill up in no time. And this year's crop is looking really good too! They're really bushy already. Hopefully we'll both get them to set fruit this year.

Didn't know the Tepin Cappuccino was considered a wild, but here is a pic of mine.  It popped late last year and I kept it inside all year.  I wasn't paying much attention to it and it wasn't doing well until I moved it to the 1gal pot it is in now.  I will probably up-pot it one more time.  I am excited to get pods early from this plant.

Daily check of my galapagoense plant:

galapagoense-IMG_20210518_091300475.jpg

Firm bush, branched, dotted with tiny flowers. That's what I'm used to see every day, and a jingle came up

No peppers today, galapagoense goes it way,
Its flowers are for lorn, only there to adorn

and then my eyes suddenly caught it

Hope I can beat the birds....

This little pod and peduncle looks like a cobra rearing it's head!

...and a poet, no less! You are the Jingle King, D!
Or, is it the King of the Jingle

Oh, yeah! Nothing succeeds like success, my friend!

Chiltepin keeps on branching, no flowers yet.... New growth has some anthocyanin pigments in the stem. "Old growth" is already lignified. I'm reminded to my chiltepin plant by bpiela's Tepin Cappuccino because of the strong and extended lower branches.

Very robust plant, D. Watch out when that starts
flowering and setting pods, you will need a gallon
bucket to harvest them!

Some c. annuum v Glabriusculum plants, along
with the c. frutescens Chili Costa Rica. Going
to plant these out in the center of the back yard
where they get lots of sun.

Left to right, Yellow Pequin, Tolito (species?),
Cappuccino Chiltepin, and Chili Costa Rica:

The Cappuccino Chiltepin is setting pods right along:

The  Tolito is also setting pods. Much anticipation here!:

These two wilds will go into a large window box
in front of the greenhouse, hopefully today...
Left, Chili Seguin, right, Wiri-Wiri triplets:

We just had a nice hail storm, so hope the plants
aren't shredded. Sun is shining again

In the Cumari World...

The wild Cumari, white seed, from Leo72',
really doing its thing:

The yellow spots are pollen captured in rain drops...

Lots of pods:

Got a nice surprise when the first flower appeared
on the brown seed wild Cumari, also from Leo:

I got my PNW hailstorm last night and it absolutely shredded my Perola Laranja to where it looks like swiss cheese.  Hit the 4 Tolito pretty hard too.  Got a few others as well, but nothing that won't spring back.

Really impressed by how developed your plants are already.  They're really looking good!   I'm wondering if your Tolito pods will be yellow too.

We were pretty lucky here. The hail was small,
about 1/4" max, and mixed with heavy rain.
There are a few leaves with holes and tears
on quite a few plants, but not as bad as your
bout. As the leaf wounds start to shrink open,
there will be more holes evident, I'm sure. Also,
in a week or two, the bruises on the tender stems
will show up. If we don't have another hail storm,
the plants should be good to go.

I have no idea what to expect from the Tolito.
Maybe a nice surprise like leo72's brown seed
Cumari!

My plants look about as good as they ever have
this year. After last year, anything would look good,
though!

No more tag team hail storms, though, okay?

Pods on the c. galapagoense is good news!

You must be doing something right, my friend!

Looks like there's plenty of flowers left to set, too.

It is quite a peculiar bush :) Only when standing right next to it, it becomes clear the plant is loaded with buds, flowers, and now also little berries. This is not obvious (to me) from a distance.

Nice examples of some unique varieties, Mr. CD!
Think I’ll some of my Tovari seeds next season.
