So interesting thread! I grow one named Amashito, which I guess is a C. annuum var. Glabriusculum ? I mainly grow it since I have heard it has really good cold tolerance, so I thought it would be interesting to see how it performed outside in the Norwegian summer. And maybe cross is with some of my tasty chinense, and see what turns out. But I don't know if Glabriusculum is harder to cross with chinense ?

Thanks for checking into the 'Wild' Thread, @Anders,
I hope you will be a regular participant. Amashito is a
new one for me. Will have to check that out.

@semillas la Palma sells a c. chacoense variety, CAP 524,
that purportedly will flower and set fruit even in cooler
climates. Have you tried that one? I am giving it a whirl this
time around.

BTW, I love your pup. I'll bet he's a real good buddy.

edit: I looked it up on croationseeds and fatali.net. Very interesting.
I am going to try to grow a wild Glabriusculum from Uvalde, Texas
that had very similar berries to those in the pictures. Does your plant
produce the long berries?

I will sure follow this thread with interest, and maybe show some updates on my Glabriusculum as well? It's still at the seedling stage, so I can't tell much about it. But I got it from Fatalii.net, so it looks like it's an elonged version. The temperature here in Norway can change a lot. Cold nights down to 7 celsius / 44,6 Fahrenheit at night, and then up to 33 celsius / 90 Fahrenheit during the day. In a greenhouse, the temperature can get too high. But at the same time, the average temperature is too low to really grow peppers outside a greenhouse.

This will be an experiment, and will be grown outside the greenhouse!

It would be great to see updates on the Amashito,
this thread is only good if lots of people share their
wild adventures. You are welcome at any time!

What size pot are you using? A 12-16 liter pot would
be easy to move into the greenhouse at night if it
gets too chilly, and would grow a decent sized plant.
A smaller pot would even work. I have grown wilds in
6-8 liter pots and they can get large in those.

Looking good @PaulG , mine aren't in my AeroGardens so growing much slower.

I just had my third C.Flexuosum emerge today. Started on 26th November 2021, a mere 66 days ago! What's the rush?
I was very surprised by the quick germination of
the flexuosums in the AeroGarden. Dirt seeds
never sprouted, so I chucked them since I have
at least one good plant going forward. I want to
grow two so they will flower and set berries.
