Wiri's 2020 Vision of Wild(s)

Well it's about time to step up at home plate & present my Wild line-up card. Many players
added will  shore up my batting line-up courtesy of CD, hopefully  hit  a few dingers,go
yard ,clear the bases and  in the end have a # of  web gems to show off.So let the games begin.

Many are proven big leaguers so that should put me ahead of the count, right! And I promise to
play clean, without cheating absolutely no (base) stealing...no, not gonna do it ;) ,speaking of;the
Astros cheating scandal grows with each passing week. enjoying the humiliation thou'.
Another shoe is about to drop on a nearby team...can't wait for Spring Training to begin.

So many cool wilds, its been awesome to take a dive in your glog!
The picture almost resembles some kind of berry, great looking pepper  :P
So glad you stopped by MF....I've been really lax but you know how it is sometimes..life gets in the way of photo updates etc.
Those wiris do look like berries,I agree.I use them in most of my recipes that need heat..I;m partial here but it's a great pepper
and while I grow others this is by far my favorite.
Cheers & happy growing. ;)

Thanks for stopping by Paul...We have time & with the warmer weather I am sending your way :P  you should get lots of wiris,if not
I will send you some as I have a handful of plants that should gear up with the heat...no problem.
It's in the mid to low 80's here & that is fine can't tolerate 90 & over...Good Lord I can't live anywhere where it's that hot..Give me
my seasons...and  we have been having milder winters...of late..climate change yes,I'm a FIRM believer in all things Science etc.
We have much to look forward to,you know what I  mean. :shh: ...I'm getting ahead of myself.
I hear you loud and clear, Sandy

Looking great in here Wiri! So very much enjoying the ones you sent this spring. I am amazed at how productive and beautiful those Guyanese wiri wiri plants are! Just literally the model of what the charapita (red or yellow) really are. So familiar and yet so unique! Here's to the rest of your growing season and hopes of bountiful harvests!

Thanks Guru...yes,those Guyanese folks swear by their wiri wiri peppers, every pot must have...but TBH,it's darn unique
&tasty/heavy producer under the right conditions..those seeds I sent..they are the real deal.. great aroma..great pepper.
Enjoy...I eat some every day... :D

It's so HHH here..so I tend to stay inside when I'm home...relief on the way then I will crank up the old camera & take
more photos..The(said) camera seems to be on it's last legs...duh!

I am really proud of my Tovarii 49 CD.. :)   it started out real slow in germination & in G&D then it took off & how. ;)
I believe it has > 40 flowers in the works...& the sibling TOV 72 CD...is coming along..it's~8 inches tall.
TY CD...as always..For those who haven't grown Wilds..some like TOVARII can take a "LONG" time to

germinate...so patience is a necessity...well worth it thou' ...49 & 72 days to germinate my 2.

That was poor planning to take the photo with that background...but you get the picture right?

Your big Tovarii is looking great, Wiri!  I see pods are setting already, too.  That was my challenge last season.  I had well over a thousand flowers on the 2 Tov's with tons of pollen, but actual production was quite low.

BTW, what is HHH?  Horribly Hellishly Hot?  :)

Hope to get a decent amt of pods on the Tov... I'm happy with it's production being it's in a 1 gal  pot.

You're close...HHH...Hazy Hot Humid.... not pleasant ...no rain to speak of for weeks...there is some relief next
week or so they say. ;)

Nice pics Wiri!  I have a cumari pollux also and find it unique in that its the only plant out of my wilds (or any for that matter) that the flower petals "bow" backwards when open!
I like that tovarii also.  I will have to try to source some seeds for next seasons grow!  Hint Hint anybody

Oh yeah, nice shot of that Lily.  Looks like there's nothing wrong with the camera.

Have a few that have that"backward tilt"  ...
Sure will certainly send you some seeds of the Tov...it does seem to have a decent amt of flower production so hopefully they will
proceed to "fruition".

Re camera:had to tape the part that stores the batteries as it broke  just like that..ah will see how long I can keep it going.

1 of 3  my C.Galapagoense  from germ 3/20& all doing nicely indoors/lights.Some of the pods are hidden & hard to detect given
the sml size & color  but they  are producing...this plant has between 15 to 20 pods..seems rather thirsty ? d/t lights& weather..conditions?My other Galap from last yr is also loading up on the pods...given the going rate for seeds(19.9 euros) might
be able to make a small fortune....if I decide to sell ?/might be able to quit my job & work from home..seems the "in" thing now!

Here's some photos I took yesterday.. a bit of bad luck..& that's putting it mildly,as we had some rather
rough weather from Tropical Storm Isaias, major damage..never been surrounded by so many live wires/trees for days.
It's show how powerless we are at these times despite being  prepared.we had to ration what  gas we had to keep our
food safe,however...lost my Aerogarden  ..probably from a surge?? bummer! :(..oh well,I can say we got off lucky.

Cardi USDA iso   pods starting to ripen

Tovarii  pods getting there...have to get a bit bigger..a stem with ~50ish buds, flowers broke off..I'm trying to see if I can root it.

Wow!  Things look fantastic.  So much to comment on.   Happy to see ripe pods on the USDA Card (good-looking structure on that one, BTW) and all the Tovarii pods.  And that one flower front and center on the flexuosum looks picture perfect.

My fingers are crossed that the Mari Wiri is a winner.  It looks great and at 4x the size of wiri wiri pods it certainly offers improved harvesting/processing efficiency!

Sorry to hear about the trials and tribulations and loss of the aerogarden.  At least you have some great-looking plants to take comfort in :)

Oh, and for whatever reason that PP Chacoense had a tendency to canoe it's leaves for me as well.  Go figure.

Well it's almost time to close up shop,,,but before I do I have some updates /photos this that & the other to show.
Here's my Curry leaf plant that are exactly one yr old..they will be spending time indoors ..done well & how.

Thai Spizzano...no color changes yet...clock's ticking...peppers not ripening as in prev., yrs...who else notice that?

One of my fav plants..a beauty, lovely leaves ..just elegant in it's own way...C. flexuosum..this one can endure some cooler temps, since none are ripe.
