off-topic You know what really grinds my gears?!?

Yep, I fully understand your frustration. Don't waste your time on someone like that, they are not very to get you a lot of profit. Revenu? Maybe..

Freebies are nice, but don't go bankrupt on douchebags.
Bingo.

It's funny - you don't realize the level of D-bag until you're already a ways down the path.

I try to offer that level of CS to everyone - guess that's why companies like Tabasco & Tapatio are far less accessible. With access ya get people like this - it's a numbers thing. lol

For what it's worth LDHS I don't think you were rude, and handled a unsatisfiable potential customer with restraint and good manners. Many of us here wouldn't have been so patient.

Some people think it costs nothing to make sauce or Chilli related products, even more so if you grow your own Chilli. They don't appreciate the time and effort put in, let alone the costs. This is why you get people like this.

Thanks SR - you shoulda seen the 10 responses that I typed, then deleted without sending.

Each time I thought, "right - so you call this dickhole a dickhole, and then he goes and tells the world that Lucky Dog called him a dickhole.

I have everything to lose by reacting poorly, he has nothing to lose.

My only gain in telling him off is personal satisfaction, which would have been short-lived.

So I bit my tongue and headed for the Grinds my Gears topic.;)

Well, my "pairing suggestions" are pretty broad:

Pairing Suggestions: Pink Label is the perfect compliment to pork, especially carnitas! Also great on pulled pork, pork chops, pork roast, pork loin, and just about any other incarnation of pork. The white vinegar adds a sharpness reminiscent of a Carolina-style sauce, while the subtle notes of pear & date really open up with pork. Of course this sauce is delicious on eggs, sandwiches, breakfast potatoes, traditional Mexican food, pizza and just about anything else - the fruit notes are extremely subtle on most dishes. Pink Label hits hard with flavor while building up in heat.
So they don't eat anything I listed? Wow. Enjoy your raw kale, with a side of kale, and a kale juice to wash it down buddy.

(And it might even be good on that!)

i was expecting a conversation where you wouldn't be offended or get upset by some simple questions or requests.. if you can't do something, just say so.. no need to get all bitchy bro.
best of luck with your business. your attitude towards a potential customer tells me everything i need to know to make an informed decision.

What a DUMBASS!

There...I said it for you!
:D

Yeah, that sounds like a bunch of the people I've dealt with here and there as well. They say they were on my website and asked what I had available... as if I don't update my website religiously, or when I'll have product x, y, or z available. It's like in IT tech support... Rule #1: "Users lie!"

My favorites (and this is a gear grinder for me) are the people who say "Hey, I wanna buy product X from you but I don't have the money for it now. Can you keep one reserved for me?" I set it aside for them just because I'm a nice guy, then one week... two weeks... three weeks go by, and then I see on Facebook or elsewhere that they just ended up buying from someone else entirely without bothering to tell me, which in the case of fresh peppers, can be annoying, owning to their rather limited shelf life. Or they ask me to just up and send it to them without paying for it. If it was someone I've dealt with before, and they were people I had a good business dealing with, I'd be somewhat inclined to do so, but if it was just some random person I've never dealt with, I'd be very leary of doing so, since I have no idea if they're good for it, or if they're just going to cut & run as soon as they get it.

Same in medicine, patients lie (often because they don't know well enough how to reason about it).

There's the kicker, the people I support in my IT environment are doctors and nurses, and they are often the worse offenders when it comes to lying. I've had them claim that their need for a new keyboard "involved patient care" because apparently they wanted to wait there like a stump on a log for 2 hours, instead of the 15 seconds it'd take to move to a different computer. I've said it before and I'll say it again... the laziness of users is not my problem.

It also grinds my nerves that "we" are still related to that though, 70 years after.. people still keep bringing it up, all Germans are nazis.. Also, politics are still heavily influenced by the things that happened back then.
So now it's basically people apologizing for things that were done by others before they were born.. to people that were not yet born.

Sounds an awful lot like the US and slavery...

You know what else really grinds my gears? When i'm standing in line at the grocery store with a six pack and the person in front of me has a cart full of groceries and doesn't offer to let me go first.  I'd absolutely offer that person to go first.

A mate recently had his VW Golf serviced by the dealer and paid $100 for a set of wiper blades. That is an absolutely ridiculous price, and grinds my gears.

I do all the time when I have lots of stuff, and seemingly every time I have just 1 thing I'm behind a chick shopping for a family of 42 and they don't offer. Also gears ground like yours are ground.
