off-topic You know what really grinds my gears?!?

When pulling out slowly from a parking space and people keep driving behind you! What ever happened to common sense?

When you're going left & the other guy is going straight - and you both get to the stop sign at the same time.....but they won't go. And you waive them on, because you understand right of way...but they don't so they just sit there, forcing you to awkwardly break every driving rule and go left in front of them. #grindsgears

And to dovetail on what Lucky Dog said... People who go under the speed limit in the far left lane, or the only lane, especially in a No-Passing zone. Thankfully, there's laws in a couple states (including Florida) where cops will pull over peopel who go too slow for the prevailing traffic in the left lanes, citing them for impeding the proper flow of traffic.

And another that grinds my gears... people who refuse to turn right in the far right-hand lane. I can understand if it isn't explicitely a turning lane and they're going straight, but if it's a right-turn lane and there's no traffic, then there's no reason they shouldn't go (provided there's no sign that forbids it)

It's a smart move on the states' parts since it'll generate a little extra revenue for Johnny Law, which only comes out of the pockets of the people who aggravate everyone else on the highways.

And another traffic-related one that grinds my gears, which I witness first hand on a nigh-daily basis... People who see fit to walk or jog right on the far-right line of the street when there's a sidewalk a few feet away and in good repair. I've seen some people weave slightly into the street, and narrowly missed getting hit by cars, so it's only a matter of time before I see someone get hit. Not only that, people tend to move over a bit to avoid potentially hitting them, which means all too often that they're going a bit into other lanes, so it's a potential domino effect, all because someone feels like jogging/walking on asphalt instead of concrete.. is there really a difference?

People leaning on my fences. Everyone that comes over for whatever reason feels the need to put a foot up and lean while talking. The worse is cowboys they like to throw there boot on the barwire and put all there weight on it,like there testing your fence or something, lol.  I had a big fat dude come over to buy some peppers and he was leaning on the post of the shadehouse. Not sure what is wrong with people.

As a big fat person I think I can answer that question:

That doesn't even make sense. You might as well have said "that's what she said".

you know what really grinds my gears? People who don't know how to use the "more cowbell" reference.

+1.

Well you have wipers and you have wipers. Good ones will run you about 30 euro for a set, cheap ones 20 euro.. Both stop wiping over 140kmh. So then there are the premium ones with spoilers that don't start hackling over 140kmh and run you for about 80 euro per set.

If you are on the Autobahn and you get a big bug on your windscreen you want to get it of. Most of the faster cars have those, so if they use factory stuff by default you'll probably end up with those. So it's not such a strange price imho.

Btw, there are plenty of cheap aftermarket ones with spoiler that are much.. muuuch cheaper and do just fine. Just don't tell them to replace with factory parts. BOSCH wipers are more expensive..

Edit: just noticed I replied on stuff from yesterday

My bad. Its been hard for my brain to function. I ran out of LDHS.

I have no idea what the past 10 posts are about, but ya know what???  That doesn't grind my gears!  So It's All Good.

Does that ban me from the thread until something grinds my gears?

:tear:  :mope:  :tear:  :mope:  :mope:  :tear:  :mope:

OK!!!!! I GOT IT!!!!

ANd this has been grinding my gears for YEARS!!!!

Restaurants that serve shrimp with the shells on or even the tails on in a saucy dish..........
and even worse----
a restaurant that served clam chowder with clams in the shell IN THE CHOWDER!!!!!

So, is the customer not supposed to try and eat the clam out of the shell? or dig into the soup, fish out the soupy shell to dig out the clam....

Aight~  I get  T-Bone steak- it can be eaten with a steak knive and fork.  The bone is not meant to be eaten.  Ribs...bones not meant to be eaten but when ribs are served often they have bibs and copious napkins.

Shrimps on the BarBe on a skewer....even with the tails on, I can go there cuz it's on a skewer.

But Clams In the Shell in Clam Chowder?!?!???

Okay, Okay.....skying down from the rant.....

I know, noone else even cares that you have to pull the tail shell off the shrimp to get all the good meat out of the tail, and I do that ALL THE TIME with raw shrimp and then cook 'em up for the family......with no shells on 'em!!!!

Am I un-banned?

Fried shrimps are small,  I'm talking about the large (bigger than 20/grade)size,  and I just popped back in to bitch about if they Don't take the tails off, do they bother to clean the rest of the shrimp??? Cuz y'all do see what's in there when the shrimp tail is split down to the end past where the commercial processors take the shell off and leave the Tail On.......

'JUST SAYIN'>>>>>>

Growing up I had a Cambodian friend. Of all the weird things they ate I hated when they would have shrimp cause they would be whole shrimp and I hated de-shelling them. That and these gross eggs that had partially developed chicken embryos in them.

I'm off to de-shell and fully de-vein some prawns for dinner.

@D3monic...can't comment on those egg things......not beenthere/donethat.
