Grow 11/12 - Raelacea

South Morang, northern suburbs. Should swing past some time and check out the front yard, but you'll have to catch me when I'm actually at home for once as I'm pretty much never home due to work travel.

I know of a place near me (Epping) where you can get 100L bags of Perlite/Vermiculite for like $35 I think they are.

Definitely, that'd be great man, let me know when you're around. I was going to grab some perlite from GCP but that is way out of my way, so... I might even swing out that way tomorrow on my way back to Daylesford.

Hey all!
I've been trying to ween myself from my computer and get out and enjoy this rapidly improving weather and the social shenanigans that accompany it!
Hope everyone is doing well.

It seems that my affected plants are starting to recover, the ones that survived at least. I ended up repotting them and treating with a copper based spray (in case of either nitro. burn or bacterial/fungal causes).
My last lot of seedlings have been kept at a distance just incase and are looking well.

SOME of 150+ affected :( :(

From looking at that I think some of mine have the same thing, all freaky looking. I will fungacide their asses tomorrow.

Where's your ethno garden pics? :D

I lost a few Omri, I'm not sure whether to the same thing or not as they're mostly not Solanacea's so I don't know. I have some Leontis, and a MG kicking but still small. I'll post pics when they're worth posting!

PS - Still haven't managed to get a HBWR to sprout. Though the weather is fining up so I might just have another go.

Yeah, fungicide and/or a repotting with a less nitrogen heavy soil (I used chook poo!) seemed to help. Definitely keep them FAR FAR away from your healtier Solanaceas though! (Unless they're weeds) :P

They do take a while to germinate. let me know if you need any more seeds. :)
Would love to see your ethnos. even if most went to the big garden in the sky. old pics are also welcome (a sucker for plant porn).

Did any of those Naga Morich x Tabasco seeds germinate for you? Someone else I sent them to in Australia said they arrived crushed :(

Your Argyreia will have a bloody hard see coat, do you scar it first? Other people boil them, H2O2 soak them, whatever the method, those hard buggers will do well with some pretreatment.

Hey SG,
I think I got about 6 up out of 10 or so :D They're somewhere amidst those seedlings above! Can't wait to see how they turn out.

Yeah, they sure do! I filed them down around the eye but I'm thinking not enough though (I was filing my finger half the time... Ouch). I think I might do the same but soak them afterwards this time.
