i left my rocoto red in the gh overnight & come the morning it was wilting badly by 10a.m.watered it & brought it inside & it's fine now, even grown a little.no buds yet though....

cholula's known to be a pretty mild sauce, but with an excellent flavour.certainly a favourite of mine despite the lack of heat.

personally i prefer a nice thick bush....read into that what you will...

what the heck are tattertots? some kinda processed fast food?

i also tried germinating seeds from chilli flakes i bought from the supermarket.100% successful, they're growing well, some of my best plants in fact.all i did was soak them for half an hour before planting in sieved compost.

will this ever be settled though? we know that different growing conditions, climates, methods etc etc can all influence the heat level of chilli pods, so it's a very diverse subject, & not to be judged conclusively on the premise of a single experiment. my own philosophy is; grow consume enjoy...

heh heh! great thread, my late Mother used to go to garden centres & take cuttings &pop them into her bag!i've even been known to pluck a pod or two off a plant for lunch.well, it's not as if they're gonna be missed!
