Turning on your furnace before you really need it has the benefit of letting you find problems before you REALLY need it. And, of course, gives you more time to deal with it at a more leisurely pace.
Fixed myself a cup of coconut ice cream with powdered hibiscus flowers and hot pepper powder mixed in. The cat went wild, so I gave her some. She actually polished it off in no time flat!

So much for my neighbor's motion-sensor light working to keep deer out of his garden. And so much for me running out in my PJ's waving a broom to scare off the buck that was nyom nyoming at the garden - it just turned and looked at me then went back to snacking….
It's true - not everyone comprehends my sense of humor, so I love it when a total stranger gets it, especially when I dead-pan it. Made a guy bust out giggling today. Yes, giggling. I had to giggle back!

It's been nice to be able to sleep in this week. Too bad that means 8am instead of maybe 10am, and only after first waking up at 5am….darned internal clocks!
