I've had this plant for two years now under the guise that it was a Bhut Jolokia plant and I'm not thinking so. Quite frankly this is the first year I've gotten any fruit from it, and either I have an extrmeley high tolerance to spicy or these aren't ghost peppers. Would anyone here have any...
Those are some good looking peppers. I can't help but say I am quite jealous. My Bhut plant wasn't growing to much until I switched soil, but maybe in another few months I will start getting results. Here's hoping :D
The carnage! The pure unadulterated carnage! I'm sorry to hear you are having problems, I do hope everything turns around for you. Unfortunately I am still a noob at this as well, so I can't offer anything besides that. Sorry. :(
Just a wee bit of sunburn. It doesn't seem like they got burnt too bad. I burnt mine the other week just a little bit worse and it is recovering just fine. So no worries. Other than that they look very nice.
Ok, I'm still very new to the world of growing peppers, but how long are your lights on and how close are they? It might be sunburn, that is kind of how mine looked when it got burnt. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
I am sorry to hear about your father as well. I lost mine back in October so if you need to talk to someone I am here to help. But your plants look great keep up the good work. :)
I keep my soil pretty warm. Once a week it gets a little bit of bone meal with twice a month fish emulsion and twice a month epsom salts. Alternating of course. And when I water it I stir up the soil to make sure it is aerated. I also only water once a week. on the same days I fertilize.
So I am presently using three CFL lights for my Bhut and it seems to be growing rather slowly. Would this be any better? http://cgi.ebay.com/Hydroponic-Lamp-225-LED-Grow-light-Panel-Red-Blue-110-V-/320696895955?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4aab0649d3
So then Miracle Gro Organic Choice is bad? That may explain why my Bhut is growing so slowly. Is there any way to fix it besides getting different soil or should I just buy some new soil? Because I used 2 bags Miracle Grow cactus and desert plant mix and 2 bags organic choice.
