    water "Tropf Blumat" water system

By tax i suppose you mean some kind of import tax? - Because the prices on the blumat-site include VAT (which you don't have to pay if they're exported, but i guess you have to "remind" them of that fact ;) )    Also you don't need the maxi-drippers for anything up to 20-25 liter pots, so you...

    water "Tropf Blumat" water system

Yeah, the pic Adriano posted seems to be the result of the "Blumat" cones, not the "Tropf Blumat" (Tropf means Drip btw).   I wouldn't recommend it for large systems either, but for 10-30 plants it's about the best thing you can get.   I can give a bit of a long-term review of the system, as...

@Tank - Respect, that's a fantastic idea. It didn't even occur to me, you could drive such a system with muscle power!   What kind of spray nozzles are you using?

I'm pretty sure it's simply passive hydro. A pot, some expanded clay and a water level indicator. Just like many people use for their houseplants.

Just a little feedback, 100% it is! - Even the broken seed germinated, if you look at my pic from above, you can see that the bottom-most seed is missing a corner. I buried that one as well, out of pure curiosity and lo and behold: it's alive!       So don't give up on your damaged seeds...

I keep telling myself that staring at that rockwool cube doesn't make any sense. Fingers crossed, I'll keep you updated.

A friend of mine ordered some Jigsaw seeds, he had a problem with broken seeds too, Jukka replaced them. Since he had 100% germination, now I have some too! (Thanks, Andy, you're the best!) I sent one seed into a KNO3-bath today.

    Patented pepper varieties

It would be interesting if Jukka has PVP for Finland only or EU-wide. Is there some sort of registry where you research those things?

Yeah it's always about 5 seeds, which seems to be cheap, on the plus side though: Germination rates are always close to 100%, I'm a long time customer there...

Yeah, usually it's about 5 seeds when ordering from fatalii, sometimes more. I don't get why he's not waiting for next season. No one in their right mind is going to plant Chinenses this time of the year, except for indoor-gardeners who want to sell the seeds next year. Bad business decision.

water Very high pH tap water (9.8pH) & irrigating raised beds

There's test strips for soil-pH values. I'd recommend to buy some and test the pH (some time after watering). If the soil isn't able to bring it down to a reasonable level, add peat. Also chose a pH-stable fertilizer (since you're experienced with hydroponics I guess you already had that idea...

    High Pressure Aeroponics

Sorry to hear that. But that's what pioneers like yourself have to endure to level the field for others. Thanks for your work and keep sharing, yours is definitely one of the most interesting experiments I've seen lately.
