I'm the same. I have low range hearing loss so i lose dialogue at average volume. I hear high range fine so all the action noises, bullets and other sound effects come across fine for me. I put on the subtitles and I'm good. I find it hard to function without them anymore really. Given my level...

I enjoyed the book, thought the miniseries was well done. I have a bit of an aversion to TV so, I could care less if they keep going with it. I have the first four books but haven't quite managed the second one yet. (I have commitment issues) lol.

Currently about half way through Robert Jordans 'The Great Hunt'. Is pretty good, it's just a chunk of book, I finished his first one and then went straight into this one. I'm kinda at the point where I need a break from the characters.
