In Tampa.   I have been interested in this as well (I love the taste of rocotos). Seconding Wicked Mike having great knowledge of this battle. I have two Locatos plants going this year that seem pretty promising, no flowers yet. I already have pods on a pineapple rocoto, but I'm not sure how...

Second vote for Pineapple Rocoto, but only heard this as well. Mine hasn't flowered yet. I can confirm the Costa Rican Yellow Rocoto is very sweet (thanks to Wicked Mike), not too much heat.

I would not use bleach. Look for/google BT or mosquito dunks. It will kill the larvae, but not the adults from what I understand. I generally sprinkle some diatomaceous earth in the soil if it's really bad, but this apparently doesn't work. :) Try sticky traps though to get the adults.

  It really did. I walked up right in front of the EarthBox, probably less than a foot away from it until I noticed. Luckily, the dude was pretty chill as I heard Black Racer's can be aggressive (although not poisonous). Another pic

Romy6, thank you for the feedback! I will give that a shot. They are in an Earthbox and I've already dumped out the water. I'll grab some fungicide first and try the epsom salts too if that doesn't work. Thanks again!

Hello! Looking for some advice. Datil plants are showing some sort virus on the bottom leaves, wondering if anyone could identify/confirm blight or some other virus. I realize there's no way to determine between the different viruses. Top of the plant doesn't have the spots, looks OK. Any advice...
