    Filling a display shelf

Hey guys. I've almost completely recovered my basement from a flood. I've begun to redecorate my cigar room. I've put up cool shadowbox displays of my favorite movies, fireworks, athletes and other random cool stuff. Have a really nice decor working. I want to put up a clear display case for hot...

Beer Advice Needed: Aged/Fermented In Bottle

If the local guy is in a good mood and I'm nice enough, I can normally get 3 Fonteinen Hommage, which I absolutely love. Upland here in Indiana also makes a KILLER Lambic. I actually prefer it to most "authentic belgian lambics". If all else fails, I can normally find Lindemans easily, which is...

hot-sauce Is it even possible to have the best sauce...really??

You obviously have not tried CaJohn's 10 yet. The sky opened and a chorus of angels sang out my name. Then the devil himself cast fire down my gullet searing my taste buds. And I wept in the glory of 10. So let it be written, so let it be done.

Beer Advice Needed: Aged/Fermented In Bottle

I get some Rasberry Lambic imported from Belgium. Good stuff. Myself, never tried to brew it. Brett and Lacto are 2 things that will never come near my brewery. 1 outbreak and everything is contaminated. May as well just buy new equipment at that point unless you want to sanitize every little...

Beer Advice Needed: Aged/Fermented In Bottle

Well, TECHNICALLY "Brettanomyces is a non-spore forming genus of yeast" I believe you may be referring to Lactobacillus, which is also used in fermenting Lambics? Lactobacillus is a bacteria Brett is a wild yeast

Beer Advice Needed: Aged/Fermented In Bottle

Brettanomyces to be exact. Nicknamed "Brett" in the brewing world. Tough stuff to work with as it'll infect everything. Consequently, most home brewers won't touch the stuff. Has a pronounced flavor resulting in a very sour beer.

Beer Advice Needed: Aged/Fermented In Bottle

In all of my brewing experience, sediment is not full of nutrients. It's yeast. Completely brewers yeast. You are taking a shot of yeast. May even have a bit of a laxative effect. Most grain/hop sediment will be removed during secondary fermentation before it even hit the bottle. Yeast yeast...

condiment Peppers for Salsa by Taste

After they are roasted, you can easily skin them by scraping them with a knife. Skin falls right off. Be careful to scrape and not cut. As far as the roasting, my brother handles that part. I believe he uses some kind of custom rotisserie setup on his grill. In my opinion of fresh vs dried...

condiment Peppers for Salsa by Taste

All peppers seeded. I do a 1:1:1:1 of: Orange Hab, Jalapeno, roasted skinned Jalapeno, Ancho I mince the habs and the jalapenos. The roasted jalapenos get chopped, and the Ancho is cut into strips and then the strips cut into pieces using scissors. For family events, it's normally 1 of each...

Jumping in with both feet - experiemental order

After much testing, Brain Damage has climbed up the list as a fast food additive, but Bottled up Anger still lacks in my book. I did put some in my salsa which contains a good amount of lime and garlic. Seemed to fit well. Still, many more sauces I'd rather choose. Personal preference I guess.

review Reviews of my first order, and my next order

Ok, first order thread http://www.thehotpepper.com/showthread.php?t=3609 My thoughts: Talon Hot Sauce Woa momma. This stuff is great. Amazing aroma and flavor. Intense heat. Very thick, can be difficult to poor. Don't know if it's just me, but it causes me to burp fatali flavor all day long...

Tested Capaicin for pain last night.

Evidentally, cap is good for migraines also. I have bad cluster headaches and am considering trying this product. Interesting way he figured it out though. http://www.sinusbuster.com/

    Cigars

Onyx Reserve is an often overlooked cigar. It's a bit rough around the edges, has some body to it, and has a bit of cocoa flavor. Enjoy.

    Cigars

Personally, I'm a fan of Cigars International. Was a really great company, but it was recently sold to some Europeans. Not sure if they've kept it up or not. If you're looking for the best deals, check out cigarbid.com. It's owned and operated by Cigars International. They post cigars and...

    Keeping Wings Warm

A very good thing. Except now I'm out of Defcon. This time, I'll be sure to grab some Defcon 1 in addition to the 2.

    Keeping Wings Warm

I guess it ended up not really mattering. The wings were gone before I could even light the sterno. Much rave reviews.

    Cigars

The fridge is very bad. A fridge/freezer both actually dehumidify their environment, which is the exact opposite of what you want. If it's only going to be 24-48 hours, a cigar should keep fine just sitting out on its own. Otherwise, put the cigar in a Tupperware container with a moist napkin...

    Keeping Wings Warm

I'm throwing a huge party this Saturday and will be making a ton of Defcon 2 wings. My question to you guys, how do you keep these warm when at a party? Whenever I do wings in bulk, they go cold very quickly. What's the trick to setting out 10 pounds of wings and keeping them warm for the guests?

Jumping in with both feet - experiemental order

Talon was delicious. I loved every bite of it. It did have a bit of a strange flavor that I'm told was the fatalii, but I wouldn't say it was off-putting. It is very thick and can be difficult to pour, but this is to be expected when squeezing out this kind of heat without extract. If the...
