Texas Indoor Grow (First Time Growing)

What was the source of your white fatalii seeds?   I'm growing about 50 plants and 2 of them are white fatalii using seeds from buckeye pepper.  The 2 white fataliis exhibit the same upward leaf curl as yours and they're in the same soil/environment and feeding/watering schedule as the other...

    Tomato Problem Help Needed

While moving your tomato from hydro to soil could be done, if it were me personally at this point I'd start over in soil either from a cutting or seed.  That plant is in rough shape as it is -- moving it to soil is only going to stress it more.

    Tomato Problem Help Needed

I'll agree with that. Chiltepin, you are doing DWC outside using miracle grow soil nutes. I'll repeat others and say if you're outside you're better off in soil. Good soil is easy to get in your area, isn't that a bag of fox farm I see in your pics? If you're stuck on using DWC, get...

    Tomato Problem Help Needed

Actually outside you have to worry about the water getting too HOT.  I think you may have it backwards as I think you want to keep it UNDER 70 (mid 60s ideal)... If I recall, above something like 72 you start getting less oxygen in the water and also more chance for nasties to grow in the...

    Tomato Problem Help Needed

Get some nutrients made for hydro. Most come with instructions for a light, medium, or heavy feeding. Start light, work your way to medium. Also I see you're doing this outside... Do you know your water temp high/low?

    soil Soil for raised bed

19 cubic yards is a lot of soil  and is going to cost you especially if you go for the top of the line quality.  Around here (Northern Colorado) I've seen soil range anywhere from $20/cu.yd to $100+/cu.yd  depending on what's in it.  Even plain old filler dirt can be 10-15$ / cubic yard.  ...

Guru's Garden - Traveling the World in Search of Peppers

Pepper Guru,   Just curious, what kind of plant spacing do you use for your pepper plants in ground:   -Spacing between plants within a row?   -Spacing between rows where you don't plan to be walking? -Spacing between rows where you need a walking path?   I was thinking of spacing plants within...

raised-bed Raised beds and plant spacing

What is everyone's recommendation for spacing between pepper plants when growing in raised beds? I'll be growing mostly chinense with a few annuums, baccatums and pubes, somewhere around 40 plants total. It seems like the general recommendation is 18-24 inches. I'd love to go with 18 inches...

    Why I Hate IPAs

I was very saddened to hear that OskarBlues decided to make Deviant Dale's a fall seasonal beer in 12 oz cans (which I haven't seen yet) instead of year round in the 16 oz'ers.  Liquor stores and the OB brewery taproom have been out of Deviants around here for awhile now.  The taproom...
