Sighh fall is almost here and those of us in a multi season climates have to bring in our plants (lucky BamaJack :P) Currently they're in pots but can I cut them down for winter or whats gonna get them to survive and make it to next April? Plant light?
Outta 30 hopefuls I think they only finished off 5-6 which sucks but it's better then all 30. Quite a few have missing leaves but still have some leaves so they should recover.
I also have another 100+ seeds of the variety too. No, no harm can come to the cats either. They'd love to go outside...
I have 20x20 area I can use and already plan a large helping of Yummy Orange, in fact I just ordered 250 seeds today from Seedway. Definitely doing the growlog on those too.
Definitely my fav sweet pepper!!
The hottest I've had is probably Jalapenos but the commercial kind and I kinda wanna eat...
Looking for clients to help fill some days on our deal site. Looking for those of you who have a store ready product and are interested in more exposure. Definitely a good way to get more repeat customers and let your sauce speak for itself. US sauces only, please send me a message if you'd like...
I think he's doubled in size now and I doubt I'll ever see an aphid again!!!! :mouthonfire: I tried to take a picture but he doesn't show up. He's a little bigger then a pin head and just chills out on my Aji Dulce
I started using a lead free hose when I attempted to grow green and surprisingly Lowe's and Home Depot have quite a few. I believe Lowe's had more sizes and options though.
So my plan this spring is to grow 100 yummy orange plants. I already have enough seed trays and alot of pots. I'm planning to start 100 plants and see if using a little grow-tech can get them outside by April 1st in some covered raised beds and hopefully the plan is by June I'll have enough...
Anyone interested in a sweet pepper parcel?
Thinking of the following 5 popular sweet peppers, and would include 20 of each seed $10 shipped.
Big Red
Aconcagua
Datil Sweet
Yummy Orange
Banana Supreme
I put this here thinking it'd get more opinions and many of those in this section may be doing exactly this or something similar. I see chiliplants.com sell peppers during the fall but I'm wondering if there's enough demand for specialty peppers year round?
Is it possible to get some agriculture grants to start-up a pepper farm? The info I've found seems directed towards research and for bigger well established farmers. There doesn't seem to be much help for the little and or new guys.
These things are so good and I've remembered to keep the seeds which are now growing in some form. How do I market them and perhaps get people or even restaurants to want some?
I tried my hand this spring/summer with several peppers only 3 had "fruit". This is gonna be their grow thread. So far 100% of the seedlings are growing.
